  1. No, they didn't develop it, it was someone else. They just seem to be up to date and vocal about it. As far as what we've downloaded, there are several authors.
  2. Here's a long, more detailed one from the leader of the 161st.
  3. Here's a couple of great video tutorials on the AGM mod: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fvBpGN0Q6n8&feature=iv&src_vid=3s5NgS7WAe0&annotation_id=annotation_575012579
  4. Klaiber, it took me about 3 minutes to figure it out once we weren't trying to survive in the woods. Hold the TAB key. I jumped back in to verify it on a training mission. https://github.com/KoffeinFlummi/AGM/wiki
  5. Wow, sounds amazing! Thanks, Lee.
  6. That is awesome. I never felt wake turbulence until I started gliding and it really is an unpredictable vortex.
  7. In honor of getting back in the gym:
  8. I grew up in a time when I listened to Iron Maiden and all my friends had Mötley Crüe (those umlauts are so misplaced) and Quiet Riot.
  9. Good find, Vonrd
  10. Okay, those guys are awesome! Trooper and Holy Diver!
  11. This is going to be the soundtrack to my JG-1 DCS video montage!
  12. This is my new #2 favorite ground vehicle!
  13. I will make a note to avoid flying around the Seattle area, then.
  14. At what phase of flight was this? What type of aircraft did you see and around what altitude, what was the intercept angle? I've passed under A-10C only 500 feet below them, all deconflicted with ATC.
  15. If I could give a definite commitment I would, however my schedule for Tuesday is not consistent.
  16. I found a very silly mistake I made the other day when port forwarding and Trev and I managed to get on a mission that I hosted. So watch out ArmA nights, we no longer need your silly servers! Here's Trev looking sinister:
  17. Rest in peace, we're sorry for your loss. We'll certainly have some representatives attending.
  18. Definitely, hopefully that hosting issue won't show up again.
  19. Here's a shot of Klaiber and I on a night op last night I found out that I'm a much better fixed wing pilot than a helicopter pilot while drunk.
  20. Probably ceremonial if anything, just like the plumed hat on the bed.
  21. Combat is only a part of it. Of course, combat seems to be what gamers gravitate towards. You can do all merchant if you'd like, as well. Running trades and supplies, that's definitely a big part of it. Also, medic seems to be an option. I'm sure that combat is not all that you can do in the game. We'll see once the actual game comes out, though.
  22. After something like 20+ attempts today, I finally got it. I have been able to get the squad XML to work with a patch that has transparent edges (the circle). If you're interested in running with this patch on the multiplayer servers, I'll need your exact in game name and the player ID listed in Configure/Profile for the character you wish to use. I'll post the XML link that goes in the box above once I get the XML out of the testing phase. Currently only two players can be assigned before I have to pay; however, I have a free webhost that I can stash the XML. I just need to update it from my earlier tests. The Squad XML will append [JG1] to the end of your name in the server but I'm keeping my JG1_Britchot for standardization.. Only the right shoulder patch can be applied as a clan slot. The servers can assign a patch for the left shoulder, though. I used the 1st ID "Big Red 1" as my inspiration for the subdued patch with red still visible. I went with some green hues and I think it looks decent enough for a long day of trial and error. It shows up well on pilots and helicopters. It will be on the sides of vehicles and airplanes, too.
  23. The latest trailer:
  24. I flew the latest update and they dropped the rudder pedal movement for a twist grip, so that drops just a little immersion in my book but I don't really look at my feet when I fly. The interface for setting up the controls is a little bit better and they added inversions to the axes, so my confusion with roll is gone. I still like the X axis for yaw and Z for roll, it's not like a plane but in my mind, it's how a spaceship should fly. The strafing movements make it quite fun to fly and shoot. It's starting to feel more and more like a space simulator, I'm liking it!
  25. Very interesting, thanks Klaiber. I was shocked to see 'Xmas' used, I thought it was a modern slang. However, it appears to be as old as the first century but at least as old as the 15th.
