Well, I am offended !! Where is "Dancing with the Rittmeister". It should be here. It was the best Polka show of all time next to the Schmengie Brothers.

S! Bowser, I saw this movie when it was released. It reminded me of Felini. The dream sequenses were very well done. Shortly after the movie was released the British governement announced that a soldier had died after a long period of hospitilization. There was more to it than that but it looked like a parrallel story. I was very disturbed by this film and have never watched it since. It asks too many questions for which there are few answers. For people interested in film making, it is a must see. The direction and editing are excelent. I think the subject mater at that time overshadowed these aspects of the movie. S!

S! All The update is out. It is a little big. The latest paint patch is a single labeled Official Skin pack version 1.024. It too is a little big. They know they were late with all this. They claim the plane did not perform well with the 180 hp engine... so they made a second plane with a 200hp engine !!!! and it has bombs!!! Eat that Brisfit brats. To celebrate, they are having a 50% off sale on planes, mods and personal jewlery. S!

S! Otto, The last patch had a new feature that let you build a response curve profile for each plane. It reset all the keys to default settings and for many people it made their joystick go backwards. Some people set up response curves for each plane they fly so that it will go level with hands off. The trick is not just setting it up but how you save it. For some it works first time, for others it may take several times. It can be frustrating. I use a single setting for all planes. It took me about 3 times to get it saved so that it is always working. You will need to go through your key settings to assign functions to the keys you want. Things get better but it can be a struggle to get there. S!

S! All Last year this was an exciting event. It was the first real RoF online tournament. They showed that it can be done. Those that want to participate should sign up soon. This will give you access to the information needed, similar to what was used for FiF. I listed that I would be available for all missions all day every day. Yes, I am a glutton for punishment. This is a great way to have fun in RoF and meet a lot of people. S!

S! All I think there is a large Belgian population playing RoF. Many of the HQ guys and I believe some of LesHellequins are Belgian. This helps broaden the market and show appreciation for suporters. A very good move all round. The addition of the channel map shows that new maps are possible. Eastern front? Middle east? Italian? The door has been opened. S!

S! Lee Glad you had fun last night. RoF is a great sim. They have done well with the planes and the scenery. It just keeps getting better. Of course last night was a little disappointing with you flying Allied crates. You need to give up tea. Come join the good guys! Beer all round! S!

S! Please remember that like all upgrades, you must do some checks after install. Profiles and key assignments Select gauges and other items when getting online for the first time. If you buy the pistol, do not shoot yourself in the leg and die. Shoot the guy in the plane next to you and watch him die.

S! All Update 1.023 is out for download. Search lights yes, Halb no new flare gun feature. Will probably have to map some new keys. new pilot glamour items. Get that scarf you have always wanted or that 45 cal pistol for shooting yourself after you buy the glamour option. that is right, it is a purchase. Also comes with streamers and maybe a moustache. Everyone gets a red scarf to hide the blood. Your settings should stay the same except for Force feedback. You may have to check or uncheck that depending on your stick. My plane profiles stayed the same. You WILL have to go in and turn on gauges and your paint. N-11 has been tweeked. Unfortunately for Buzzsaw SE5a is still the same. There were some comments about bugs. Have not seen any yet. S!

S! Odir Ooooooh skinning is fun. Moxy and Hett are good at it and can tell you more. Gimp is very good as is paint.net. Either way there is a plug in- it may be included in paint.net for DDS files. They know more. There are many videos on skinning on you tube. S!

S! I think it looks VERY nicre. The subdued red color of the bar and other titles is quite handsome. The events page looks squished. Just a sizing issue. The forums do look strange with the black white thing going on. They probably have a separate set up configuration file. Not sur what to do there. Make everything the same neutral background? some kind of beige that blends into the sepia of the top picture? Probably too dark. Perhaps something lighter like the collor of the signature paper. Of course the signatures will all blend in and disappear. Perhaps a nice light green background with red text? Santa says go for it but I have my doubts. Perhaps just solid white and no stripes? No matter what, you can be guaranteed, fix one problem and another pops up. S!

S! All Hopefully we will be improving the site within the next few weeks Untill then I have set up a basic description page for our server missions. The missions listed were quickly put together to have something on the server. We will be adding more missions as time goes by. At this posint we have a stable unit that looks acceptable for Flanders in Flames. As we get the website in order we will move forward with FiF. S!

S! All Well we keep climbing the server learning curve. This week the server was down for a couple days. hett and I thought maybe we had done something wrong with the ini file. After several go rounds with the server host, we finally figured it out. When the game is updated, we need to also update the server files for security considerations. Sorry about the delay. One more lesson learned. At present we have: DH2 vs E3 at Lille - this is Air quake with earlies. It also lets us organize practice for flight manouvers and tactics. We can easily get into 2 on 2 or other situations to practice manouvers. Autum at Warfusee - this is to practice normal ground level bombing and recons. The Ant Hill - This is late planes and allows practice ad straffing trains and trucks. Winter at Warfusee - This is the same as above but later planes and targets moved a little. HP and Gotha are air starts. The real challenge is landing the Gotha. Recons do not count if you die or crash. Landing the big planes will be esential in tournaments. S! All

Ok computer program lesson time : "back door" "A backdoor in a computer system (or cryptosystem or algorithm) is a method of bypassing normal authentication, securing remote access to a computer, obtaining access to plaintext, and so on, while attempting to remain undetected." I am willing to post a list per mission in the members only section. This would consist of a non publicized target who's destruction would cause the mission to end. For Dh2s vs E3 ( Which by the way only runs 70 minutes, I just did not want to change the text and I think 30 minutes is too short, how about 45?- Let the hageling begin !!! ) or any mission for that mater, I could place a balloon that is vulnerable at the German airbase. Killing it would end the mission. That way JG1 pilots could control the mission rotation without having to access the server. S!
