A good friend of mine is Jeff Dawson from San Antonio and he was at least 2 time national champion in control line combat. I watched him a couple of times and it was INSANE how fast the planes were and the maneuverability was off the charts. He makes and sells models for CL Combat and they are quite popular. He was always nagging on me to give it a try and it was so far beyond me.... I felt bad because I know he wanted guys to come out and fly but I was useless at this game. Quote

Those things are made for people who have the ability to slow down time... and that was in the 60s (and before I'd experienced peyote). I'm sure that they have become even more of beasts by now. wheelsup_cavu Posted March 23, 2023 Report Posted March 23, 2023 Just a little bit later I suspect than just about everyone else I started binge watching The Ranch on Netflix. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt4998212/ I like Sam Elliot as an actor quite a bit and seeing Debra Winger again after all these years is a nice bonus. Razwald Posted May 22, 2023 Report Posted May 22, 2023 If you are a fan of Conan, Kevin Nealon Dana Carvey or Hans and Franz, Its worth the watch. They discuss how Hans and Franz came about then read from the script they wrote for a Hans and Franz movie. Quote

wheelsup_cavu Posted May 28, 2023 Report Posted May 28, 2023 Just finished watching the 4 hour NBC commercial fest or as it was blatantly misrepresented for the last month The Indianapolis 500. The last two laps were definitely exciting from a viewer standpoint but in deference to the overall safety of the drivers I think the last Red flag was one too many. Wheels Quote

wheelsup_cavu Posted July 8, 2023 Report Posted July 8, 2023 No Time to Die https://www.imdb.com/title/tt2382320/ I enjoyed the movie but I will never consider it a true Bond movie. If you have seen the movie you will likely understand my sentiment. The movie is just about three years old but I do not want to discuss my reasons for my sentiments as I do not to spoil the movie's plot points for anyone who might not have seen it yet. (Really would have liked the site to have spoiler tags but it seems to have been omitted from all Invision forums...) Wheels Quote
Ludwig Posted July 14, 2023 Report Posted July 14, 2023 I would have lost the bet on the 2nd video.... NO WAY.... The first video is the basic hey we found an upside down Russian tank in a mudhole. I think this video has been around some years.... but the second one... well... you have to see it to believe it. I am still not exactly sure that there was a lot more going on behind the scenes but don't want to ruin it. wheelsup_cavu and Razwald 2 Quote

One of the main things I remember about the movie at the theater was that they had the volume set so high I wanted to leave before the movie ended. Wheels Klaiber 1 Quote
