I've known him for years, we flew together a fair few times during my War Thunder days as well as my short-lived IL-2: BoS transition. He's a fine chap, always insisting on choosing the best possible source material for his videos.

This is the very PC first flight sim I've ever played. Found this video entirely by accident. Oh, the memories!

I played both of these on my sister's Amiga. To a 5yo Firefly strafing and dogfighting was where it was at.

First Complex Flight Sim and I will say that looking back it was impressive compared to other titles out at the time.

Love C&Rsenal. Been watching them since almost the very beginning, about the time they did the first Mauser 98 video.

Yeah they're genuinely fantastic. I really love learning about the trade/economic agreements between various nations that lead to certain countries ending up with certain arms. It puts WWI into a fantastic perspective. 

Did I mention I love watching modern Jets take off solely on power alone? Lmfao. look at this ***disgusting*** AOA on carrier based Mig 29's! Get off my planet this technology seems alien! 
 

 

 

As impressive as that looks, the utility of a ski jump-equipped CV is limited by the relatively small MTOW of the aircraft on board. The Chinese realise this, which is why they're moving away from Soviet-derived,  heavily armed, ski jump-equipped STOBAR designs like the Lianoning and Shandong towards a US-style CATOBAR configuration with EMALS (look up "Type 003 aircraft carrier"). Still very cool to see a non-Western approach to naval aviation.

How to turn jet fuel into noise, Cold War style. I have a feeling @Klaiber and @Erhardt are going to like this one. 

 

Watching these videos really makes me wish I could fly a Jet one day. Even a light fighter like a MiG-21/G.91/F-5 would probably just about make me poop myself.

DCS is calling to you.  "Ted.... Ted... fly the MiG-21, Ted." 

HAH....  we saw this every night at 11:00 PM when KENS CHANNEL 5 went OFF THE AIR..... and they would play the Star Spangled Banner and then read the poem "High Flight" while showing film of a 104 zooming and rolling through the clouds.  Kids today don't know what "going off the air" means....
