not necessarily "track IR", but almost all of us use a head tracker of some sort

That is correct. Unless mods are turned on, no one else can see any skins you have created, hence the reason why its a waste of time doing so
-
Because the game isn't really supported anymore, painting up skins for ROF is a waste of time. When Flying Circus comes out, if they base it on the same setup as BoX, which is what is suppose to be, then you can paint up some skins for that game. In regards to you having issues with the skin packs, I'm not really sure, unless the download for those packs was corrupted. Have you tried re-downloading them?

Rudder pedals dead; Hotlead out of action for now

Not to your extent, but I do understand what youre saying. Regarding flying, attempting to explain some of the details of flying and "What we Do" to people can be frustrating when you noticed the glazed-over look in their eyes. I personally have a bad habit of, if someone asks, "If youre in the clouds, how to do you land?" Instead of giving the simple, short answer that they're looking for, I break out into a speech on the entire process, which inevitably results in the glazed-over look in their eyes. Go ahead and attempt to explain hold entries, or the difference between precision and non-precision approaches, or even radial bearings -

Just read this, and now my head hurts. -
I watched a couple of videos on improving spotting in the 2 flight sims. What the vids said to do was to lower the gamma in both sims, one actually said to wear sunglasses (not gonna happen). I turned down the gamma to .8 in BoX and flew offline to see if there was any change. I did notice a slight improvement, but nothing really significant. Was wondering if any of you do or have tried the same thing?

It I view it as a step up. Simply cause of what happened with ROF. If I made a skin for JG1 in ROF, it wouldn't see the light of day cause they no longer were supporting it. This way, If I make a skin, even if some people dont DL it, some will and my skin will be seen by some. The major downside is the winter skin, and in that case, I might just use the default skin so I wouldn't be in summer colors in a winter setting.

Ok, I just looked back and the pics that I have pasted into the site are all Jpegs
-
For some reason, I copied the pic, changed its type to every type I could change it to, and it still didn't work???????? (Gif, Tiff, Png, Bmp,Jpeg)
-
You have to change the pic type. I think it requires that you use .Png pics
