  1. Hey @Joseph "SEPPL" Veltjens! Great to hear from you! You still have full access to the boards on your other account, @Veltjens. Can you not access it?
  2. You can definitely do that. Hotlead has a white border on the girder cross for his Halb, Or you can make it a white cross. You have some wiggle room.
  3. Hi Guys, For all JG1 skinners, especially those who have made there own paint schemes for Flying Circus, please be aware of the new color standards: https://forum.jg1.org/topic/8103-flying-circus-colors-standards/ These were created to do three things: Standardize colors within the squadron so that we look uniform (regardless of skin author) Attempt to come close to historical colors used on real aircraft Look good with in-game lighting. A color correction update to the skin pack is incoming soon. There are some cool changes in it, so @Vonrd, @Heinrich and I can't wait to share it with you! If you've made your own FC skins (@AngryGoat, @Butzzell, @GenMarkof007, @EmerlistDavjack, @Jaus, etc.), please consider adjusting their colors to match the above guide. Your personal markings are 100% approved and don't need to change! We just want to see the colors match. Post below with any questions. And thanks in advance!
  4. When submitting a paint scheme for the Flying Circus official paint pack, please use the following colors standards: BLACK 1c1b16 - Jasta 4, Jasta 6 and personal markings. WHITE d9d9d9 - Jasta 4, Jasta 6 and personal markings. YELLOW bf9c00 - Jasta 10 and personal markings. RED 9d0a0e - Jasta 11 and personal markings. GREEN 8a968d - 2-color upper wing camouflage for the Albatros D.Va. MAUVE 755175 - 2-color upper wing camouflage for the Albatros D.Va. A mission has been created to view all current skins with in-game lighting: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/hx2h6m352px8izw/AAD_fu6_xRI4rlfBzHJJjUIHa?dl=0 This mission will be updated as necessary.
  5. Cool, a big Battlestar fan, so this is a lot of fun to watch.
  6. That's really cool! Am surprised more people don't have ear protection, though.
  7. I definitely want to get involved in tank crew, and had actually set up my controls months ago. Waiting for just this moment. But because they share inputs with the flight sim portion, it screwed up my flight controls. Once I figure it out, I'd be down for some armored stuff.
  8. Thanks, just got it! They look great. Let me just talk to @Vonrd and @Heinrich. If there are no other notes, I'll upload them as an update to the pack. Probably in the next 24 hours.
  9. @GenMarkof007, new one:
  10. @GenMarkof007, here is the new link from the original post: [link removed]
  11. Thanks @Jaus A question and a few notes. First, is the AlbD5 skin in this 7/9/2020 upload different in anyway from your AlbD5 skin that is already within the paint pack? Secondly, the name of the skins are going to be modified to fit the following standard: v_!_JG1_[aircraft folder]_[pilot name].dds v_! JG1 AlbatrosD5 Jaus .dds will now be v_!_JG1_AlbatrosD5_Jaus .dds v_! JG1 Fokkerd7 Jaus.dds will now be v_!_JG1_FokkerD7_Jaus.dds v_!_JG1_FokkerD7F_Jaus.dds is fine. v_! JG1 Pfalz_D3a Jaus.dds will now be v_!_JG1_PfalzD3a _Jaus.dds Make sure to be prepared for that when the update to the official pack is released. Finally, the black crosses on the Pfalz are really washed out. The fuselage looks good, but the wings and the tail crosses need to be darkened. Could you re-submit that one? Thanks!
  12. I've never played Steel Division II, but i looks interesting! The last RTS WW2 game I played was Company of Heroes (in 2006), so that's a while ago.
  13. I've just installed. For everyone here is the link: https://forum.il2sturmovik.com/topic/63326-installation-and-usage-of-srs-for-il-2-voice-comms-app/ If you're familiar with DCS Simple Radio, it's identical. For those who aren't, set up is easy. We'll walk you through it.
  14. The adding of SRS to IL-2 is big. Once the app is released, we'll have to play around with it and check out functionality. This will really help with cross-comms!
  15. Wow, that looks like an amazing show! Thanks so much for posting pictures!!
  16. I would post your video in the bugs section of the IL-2 boards: https://forum.il2sturmovik.com/topic/48964-invisible-plane-bug/
  17. Invisible aircraft have been a huge problem in Flying Circus. I've heard that it happens in WW2 as well, but haven't personally seen it. I think it has something to do with view distances. Though 1CGS has been very quiet about how they hope to fix it.
  18. Hi @Drunken_Jedi Welcome! Thanks for taking a look at us! And I'm glad to hear that you like the website. I'll send you a email, to the address you registered with. Looking forward to talking more soon!
  19. Hi @Vernon Whitley, Welcome! The FIF tournament is on vacation at the moment, for the Summer. But we'll be back again in a few months! In the meantime, I've added you to the Red Team. You should now be able to see their area on the forums when you login. The Red Team uses JG1's Teamspeak. You should see a link within the Red Team area giving you that information. If you don't see it, just shoot me a message. @Klaiber Here is a link to the tournament calendar: http://forum.jg1.org/topic/3010-flanders-in-flames-calendar/ When missions are running, they happen on Saturdays at 2PM EDT / 6PM UTC. On mission days, we recommend that everyone arrive on TS about 15 to 20 minutes early. The server password is passed out via TeamSpeak. Should you have any questions, just let me know.
  20. Thanks Hess!

  22. The FIF 2020 "Spring Campaign" has officially come to an end! Unfortunately, due to the very late start, we were only able to get one phase-of-play in before July. But what a Phase! After 4 weeks of fighting, only 2 points separate the two teams. And with no Phase B, the Blue Team has emerged victorious! Congratulations to everyone for an extremely well-fought and well-flown campaign. Both teams adapted well to the new environment that Flying Circus offered. And while there were a few technical snafus here and there, the overall experience was extremely enjoyable. Should anyone have any suggestions on how FIF can be improved, definitely let @Butzzell or I know. As we pause for the Summer, we've already started working on the next Campaign! We'll share more details in the coming months. We look forward to flying with you all! In the meantime, let us lift our glasses filled with our favorite libations and toast our virtual opponents. Prost! Salut! To celebrate the conclusion of the Spring Campaign, here is the FIF campaign ribbon. Blue for the Blue Team. Red for the Red Team.
