  2. I love the MiG-15 instructional video from 1960. What an amazing find. Also, all the road base footage is really impressive. We should give stuff like that a shot on the Caucuses map, and see how we do.
  3. Great collection, Firefly! Can’t wait to watch them.
  4. S! All, The following JG I pilots are being recognized for their actions during Session A3 of Flanders In Flames 2019 "Spring Campaign" (flown on 25 May 2019). Congratulations! . . . Order Pour Le Mérite Oblt. Richard (Vonrd) Ausweichen, Jasta 10 (session #A3, 25 May 2019), for the destruction of 21 ground targets within one streak. Saxon Knight's Cross of the Military Order of St. Henry Fw. Lothar Loopy, Jasta 10 (session #A3, 25 May 2019), for conspicuous personal bravery on the battlefield or, more frequently in the case of officers of higher rank, for merit in positions of great responsibility [esprit de corps & "ace in a day" status - 5 air victories in FIF 2019 Spring Session A3]. German Army Report Hptm. Fritz Butzzell, Jasta 11 (session #A3, 25 May 2019), posthumously, for gallantry in battle, but also extraordinary fidelity and essential service. [esprit de corps & good streak - 1 air victory, 2 ground victories and 1 wounded-in-action, over 2 sorties.] Hptm. Wilhelm (Wiley) Luftritter, Jasta 4 (session #A3, 23 March 2019), posthumously, for gallantry in battle, but also extraordinary fidelity and essential service. [esprit de corps & good streak - 2 air victories and 1 wounded-in-action, over 3 sorties.]
  5. Yeah, I like that too. I've never heard of Czesław Niemen, but I can tell from his wiki that he's really important. Thanks for sharing! You've given me a lot of new stuff to listen to.
  6. Hi Luft, Thanks for the feedback! I've moved this to the public section so @Gustavo can see it. I don't think there is a lot you can do about the overall aesthetics. That's just what IP.Board 4.3.5 looks like now, both on your phone and in your computer browser. There may be some way to personally customize certain aspects of it. However, I'm not an expert on this, so I'm not sure. My feelings are that IP.Board has generally taken away some of the past flexibility in order to provide more power with regards to posting options. The newer versions of IP.Board have pushed aside BBCode: https://invisioncommunity.com/forums/topic/417407-ips-40-the-current-state-of-bbcode-and-its-future-is-bbcode-officially-abandoned/ In the old forum, you could hit the symbol in the upper left and see the pure BBCode. Now, when you hit Source (upper left) you get HTML. This was done intentionally, as HTML was considered to be more robust. Because all of our posts are now HTML, each Return / Enter creates a new paragraph. <p> Because all of our posts are now HTML, each Return / Enter creates a new paragraph. </p> This is what is creating the double spaces. As someone who learned to type on a typewriter, and enjoys having complete control over what I'm writing and how I'm writing it, this was off-putting at first. However, I'm getting used to it. If you try to edit out the <p></p>, it's super time consuming, and will just throw all your text on one line. Not helpful. All I can say is that this is by design: https://invisioncommunity.com/forums/topic/406717-line-spacing/ Perhaps Gustavo can add some more thoughts.
  7. That's really nice, Firefly! Never heard that before. The only East German music I know is the soundtrack to Das Unsichtbare Visier (The Invisible Visor), which I listen to every once in a while. For people who've never heard of it, Das Unsichtbare Visier was East Germany's James Bond: https://www.thevintagenews.com/2015/12/07/3935
  8. Good luck Lip!

  10. @Butzzell and @Kliegmann would definitely be able to help.
  11. Updated in the rules:
  12. That's cool with me too. So, change it to: Is this better? If so, I'll change the rules. @Butzzell would you post the amended rule to the community?
  13. The rule can be re-written to be clearer, and closer to its intent. For example: Would this be better?
  14. Hi Firefly, Great to meet you! I'll send you an email to the address you registered with. Looking forward to talk with you more soon! -Klai

  16. I bought the I-16 and the Fw 190A-8. I'm weak.
  17. In the meantime, JG1 members should use our Discord server. This is available in the Private Unit Discussions area.
  18. Hmm. Not sure then.
  19. I'm not sure if you have this, as it could be an Admin thing. But click on the notification bell. Then go to notification settings (upper right). You should be able to tweak it there.

  21. All, Login to the forums has been changed to email address. This way, I can mess with your usernames and still give you full access. If someone has problems logging in, let me know. You can do that by emailing me. Or hitting Report Post above (which should work even if you're not logged in). Thanks!
  22. All, Gustavo found this information regarding usernames and display names within the current version of IP.Board: As a result, I'm going to go through and update everyone's usernames. I will individually contact everyone's account I touch. This way, no one will lose access.
  23. That's a great tip! I'm wondering if there is a way for me or Brit (as Admins) to change it for people.
  24. S! All, Some notes on the upgrade: We seem to have lost our display names. Our usernames (the ones we login with) are now displaying. Not sure how to fix this. Some special characters in your username, or in posts, may have become jumbled in the update. Let me know if anyone has problems they can't fix. If you can't access your accounts (due to password problems) request a replacement password from the forums. Once you sign in, you can change the password back again. Also, our forum sigs appear to have been stripped off our profiles.
  25. All, The jg1.org forums will be updated this weekend, 18 May through 20 May 2019. People should expect some slight forum instability and inaccessibility during late Sunday / early Monday (EDT). Everyone can continue to message and chat up until that point. However, there may be some posts lost as we close in on that time frame. After the update takes place, there will be some quality control needed, and that may keep the forums down until Monday night. However, things should return soon after. Let me know if anyone has any questions.
