  7. Baron's J6 Alb has been added.
  8. These are really great Baron! If this is how FC is going to look, they can't release Vol. 1 and 2 fast enough.
  9. The FIF 2019 "Spring Campaign" has officially come to an end! Now this was a campaign that I wished I could have flown in! Not only was the plane-set a really nice mix of aircraft, but the scores throughout were so very close. First Red was up, then Blue, then Red. Back and forth. Honestly, I can't help but be reminded of that famous remark by Arthur Wellesley, 1st Duke of Wellington, after the Battle of Waterloo - "It has been a damned nice thing - the nearest run thing you ever saw in your life." To put things in perspective, the Red Team won Phase A by only 3 points... They won Phase B by only 4... That means that a couple of objectives here and there were the deciding factors. A near-run thing indeed! The Blue Team kicked ass in this campaign, and should be extremely proud of themselves. You guys did an amazing job. Honestly, when you're creating an event like FIF, these are the type of results you want to see. Matches that really get your blood pumping. So, I truly hope that everyone had a great time. As we break for the Summer, I hope that everyone enjoys some much needed rest and relaxation. We'll see you all in the Fall! In the meantime, let us lift our glasses filled with our favorite libations and toast our virtual opponents. Prost! Salut! To celebrate the conclusion of the Spring Campaign, here is the FIF campaign ribbon. Red for the Red Team. Blue for the Blue Team. Large version: Small version: And as always, thank you to every pilot who flew! Without your continued support, this tournament would not be able to function! 10. My heartfelt condolences, Lipfert. Please take as much time as you need.
  11. Not sure if this is too much for people (ears bleeding), but here's my submission for the day: This Arizona band has been described as "technical thrash which tended to suffocate listeners." I've also heard people say Atrophy was fundamentally averse to any sort of melody. However, Puppies and Friends is probably my favorite song by them. And it easily has one of the best solo breaks that I've heard in the thrash genre (@1:30). At least that's my opinion. For other metal fans, I'd be curious what you think.
  12. Ah, 1946. I miss it sometimes.

Saxon Knight's Cross of the Military Order of St. Henry Sgt. Bavarian Knight's Cross of the Military Order of Max Joseph Fw. Lothar Loopy, Jasta 4 (session #B3, 22 June 2019), posthumously, for bravery and meritorious leadership in battle [for esprit de corps and an amazing streak - 17 air victories, and 1 wounded-in-action, over 14 sorties.] German Army Report Lt. Peter (Sipi) Pfeil, Jasta 6 (session #B3, 22 June 2019), posthumously, for gallantry in battle, but also extraordinary fidelity and essential service. 14. When I had first heard that acoustic version a few months ago, I was instantly surprised at how regretful (perhaps sad) the lyrics actually are. Like in the second verse - "Slowly learning that life is okay..." Truthfully, I never paid attention to the meaning. The '80's synth pop was too contagious. It really is a great sad song sung to happy music. Kind of like Hey Ya! by OutKast. Once you hear it without the R&B beat, it starts to click: versus
  15. There definitely is some great footage there. Stuff I've never seen before.
  16. This is great!
  17. Added US103_Larner's Albatros skins.
  18. Can't wait to use these.
  19. This is great Larner, thanks so much!

  21. Hi Catfish, Sorry that I'm only seeing this now. You're now registered on the Red Team. The Red Team uses JG1's TeamSpeak. When you login to the forums again, you should see the Red Team Discussions area of the boards. The pinned post at the top of those private forums has JG1's TS info. Let me know if you have any trouble locating it. The tournament calendar is here: And when the tournament is running, we meet on Saturdays at 2PM EDT / 6PM UTC. On mission day, my advice would be come a few minutes early. The server password is always passed out through TeamSpeak. And you'll need to collect your mission orders for the team commanders. Looking forward to flying with you soon!
  22. Here's my addition: An interview with Lt Colonel Jyrki Laukkanen, a retired Finish Air Force pilot, who flew the MiG-21bis. Lt. Colonel Laukkanen is also an author of a number of books, the most readily available in English being Finnish Air Force 100 Years.
  23. Great opportunity for people to pick up the aircraft they've had their eyes on.
  24. I've never really listened to Sabaton before. That was really good. Very catchy.
