  3. Never found a COOP server program that ran independently and rotated missions in the same manner as a dogfight server. The Player of the host machine actually always had to start the missions. I have seen really old posts, I think at the Ubisoft 1C/Maddox forums which have been practically dead for just about a decade now, and I have run across a website time and again, I keep losing it, describing just such an animal but to me it may as well have been a Unicorn. I have seen some pretty heated discussions regarding that very spawn discrepancy in my day. Not sure how you would address it even with a range limitation considering you can spawn within sight of the prior version of yourself, without disabling the Refly option until the prior parachute version of yourself was removed from the map. 4. He mentions he is using the BAT mod from Special Aircraft Service. It is huge and I have no idea what they changed with it? Not sure if this may help but something I ran into quite often with dogfight missions is to have two instances of yourself in the game at the same time when you bailed out. If you bail out high enough and close to a HomeBase you can actually watch the previous parachute version of yourself land from the cockpit of your current aircraft. Once in awhile I was even able to get respawned, takeoff, and then buzz the previous version of myself hanging in the parachute. The game despawns your aircraft when you hit refly but not the parachute version of you which the log file keeps tracking. Makes for some screwy debriefs when it shows you were captured and landed safely or died and landed safely, etc. By using the same aircraft for both flights it made it difficult for me to know what was happening but once I used two different types of aircraft it became obvious what had happened. 6. Was a major buzz kill when it was postponed. Last I heard it will not be coming out before next year now. Wheels
  7. First I have a period video that was done less than ten years after the battle. Part One of a Naval Training film from 1950 based upon the 1948 document "NAVPERS 91067, The Battle of Midway Including the Aleutian Phase, June 3 to June 14, 1942: Strategical and Tactical Analysis by Richard W Bates" (later Rear Admiral Bates) at the Naval War college. I have never been able to find part two of this training film. Warning!! Period prejudices towards the Japanese are still very much evident in this 1950 program. I am not exaggerating when I say that in my opinion his videos rival several commercial documentaries that have been professionally done. I thought I had posted Montemayor's video on Midway from the Japanese perspective here last year but I must have forgotten. After an almost 15 month delay Part Two, which is now Parts Two and Three, of the Midway Battle are out. 8. Been awhile but I thought this would interest all the rest of the Aviation nutters that hang out here too. MIT Private Pilot Ground School 2019, F-22 Flight Controls https://youtu.be/22u4qxm1YjY Hour long but it kept my attention that full hour. Wheels

  10. For everyone who is into game design, 2D or 3D art, video editing, or coding: A website called 3dbuzz is shutting down and they’ve made their entire library of subscription tutorials and assets available to the public for free! https://www.3dbuzz.com/ They have tutorials, guides and examples on like RPG API Core, Python stuff, C++, C#, Unreal tournament map making and modding guides, Blender and Gimp. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Not sure if the tutorials will be relevant to anyone here but there will be twenty years of content lost when the site shuts down so I didn't want it to go by the wayside without giving a heads up. I saw some OpenGL tutorials which is another reason I mentioned the site is closing. Wheels
  11. I mentioned a few posts back in this thread that the original USAAF and RAF campaign files hosted at Netwings that you reference in the Installation and Settings Instructions.txt file had been lost to time or were only available at the internet archive when it came to the RAF campaign files, which is still true, but I just found updated versions of "the Real Deal" USAAF and RAF campaigns at M4T. I do not know if these would work in place of the original files that were hosted at Netwings all those years ago. Someone who understands DCG and how to use it a lot better than me would need to test them. 13. How relevant are these notes in the Installation and Settings Instructions.txt file? The RAF campaign can still be found at the internet Archive version of Netwings but the USAAF "The Real Deal" files are long gone it seems. (Netwings went down in 2009.) RAF campaign USAAF: Page 10 at the Internet Archive: https://web.archive.org/web/20071119125500/http://www.netwings.org/library/Forgotten_Battles_and_Pacific_Fighters/Missions/index-10.html I don't see the USAAF campaign at M4T either. 14. I know you are keeping things current since your last revision was in April or I wouldn't have brought this up. In your Readme text you still are sending people to your old domain for bug reports. For me it is the last paragraph on the first page. Wheels

  16. Lonestar did some work with this in 2010. [Tutorial] Create a 3rd party DCG campaign!: http://allaircraftsimulations.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=94&t=30128 The MediaFire links in the post at All Aircraft Simulations still work. M4T is down for maintenance at the moment but the tutorial is uploaded there too. How to make a 3rd party DCG campaign from scratch!: http://www.mission4today.com/index.php?name=Downloads&file=details&id=4341 Not sure if Lonestar's work is any better or not but it is newer than 2005 and is based on IL-2 v4.11m and DCG 3.47. 18. Glad to hear it worked. Imo it should never have been necessary though. Wheels
  19. If I understand this bat program you are renaming the dgen.exe file before the il2fb.exe starts and then renaming the dgen.exe file back to an .exe file after il2fb.exe starts so you can trick the game into running. Wheels
  20. Got it, Thanks. Wheels
  21. Nice shootin' Tex! The ground targets AND the guy with the aircraft ID limitation. Wheels
  22. Thought I would get cute and post a link to the Internet Archive version of the your old site but the darn new website has infected the Internet Archive version of your old site too. Wheels
  23. Bit confused, Did you mean "No Instant Success" like idefix44 suggested or are you saying that DCG ignores that difficulty setting and allows you to move forward without having to refly the mission to generate the Mission Complete message? Wheels
  24. Wow finding that underscore versus slash difference between Ju-52_3mg4e and Ju-52/3mg4e at the end of each example took several read throughs before I spotted it. Finding and fixing those types of errors can drive you batty. Wheels
  25. Nice feature. Stock DGen makes that mistake all the time, not sure about Asura's version. I can't remember how many times I landed only to have the next mission start time be before I landed in the earlier mission. Wheels
