  2. I was surprised to hear them start the engines in the 1,2,3,4 order. I have read multiple times that they typically started the engines in the 3,4,2,1 sequence. Starting engine 3 first had something to do with the generator on the B-17. When you think about it when it comes to propeller aircraft the 3,4,2,1 start sequence also makes sense from a safety stand point for the plane captain. Wheels
  3. It's a shame but AAS has been schizophrenic lately. One week it is online and then the next time I check, like just now, I get a timeout error. The connection has timed out The server at allaircraftsimulations.com is taking too long to respond. The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments. If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer’s network connection. If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the web. I have been getting the timeout error for the past couple of weeks. Wheels

  5. I saw The Gallant Hours a few weeks ago. I thought it was a reasonable portrayal of what I have read over the years about Halsey's service during WW2. 7. I read that as 2,500 Bucks!!! Wheels
  8. Practically got roasted by my plane as it went by me while hanging in my chute. https://forums.mudspike.com/t/il-2-great-battles-screenshots-2024/16042/10?u=wheelsup_cavu https://uploads.mudspike.com/original/3X/6/0/60735a0df10486ee72e048ce42c4d96d1618796d.jpeg I am right at my image limit here and I don't want to hotlink an image to someone else's forum so I put the image link in the code box instead. Imgbam/ibb keeps deleting images users post at M4T and PBucket is a hot mess so this was my solution. Wheels
  9. Our hosting service has completed their work on the servers and our security certificate has been updated. All should be working as expected now. Please continue to report any unexpected difficulties using the site and we will do what we can to get them resolved as quickly as possible. Thank you for your patience during this maintenance period. Wheels
  10. Happy New year to everyone here too. -------- We are still ironing out our website security certificate problem and some others with our hosting service. Unfortunately we still do not have a firm time frame for them to complete their fixes. Wheels
  11. Sorry for the interruption of service. M4T is down due to server maintenance implemented by our hosting service. The site will be down for approximately 24 hours if they have no unexpected issues with their fixes. I will also be posting any updates on our Facebook page. https://www.facebook.com/mission4today Wheels
  12. I know I am behind a bit since they came out in 2022 but I just binge watched all 9 episodes of season one of Tulsa King yesterday on Amazon Prime video. I went in not expecting much but I have to say that Stallone put together a solid cast for this series and I only wish that season 2 was available somewhere other than Paramount+. Wheels
  13. Lol, I have no doubt it would freak me out. Wheels
  14. If you remove the front lines you can't be captured. As far as I know that is the only way to disable that feature. Wheels
  15. Even when you use the different formations option once you attach a group to another group the game ignores the change. You have to add all of the flights separately if you want them to change formations . Wheels
  16. On Saturday, October 5, 2024, Planes of Fame Air Museum presents another in our series of Hangar Talk events along with our monthly Flying Demo. The Museum will be featuring the North American B-25J Mitchell. Museum doors open at 9:00am on this day. Hangar Talk begins at 10:30am and lasts until 12:00pm. Hangar Talk features several brief and fascinating presentations focused on aviation history, key personalities from aviation’s past, and other engaging topics. We’ll announce the actual line-up for each event about 1-2 weeks preceding the event. At 12:15pm, we'll be hosting our "Flying Demo" featuring the "B-25J Mitchell." A brief outdoor presentation will be followed by engine start-up and taxi directly in front of the crowd. Q & A with the aircraft pilot will follow the flight. We will have food trucks on-site, our reenactors and Museum Guides, and fun stuff for our youngest visitors. Our Gift Shop is open and stocked with loads of aviation themed apparel, toys, logo keepsakes, books and many more items. The Museum is open until 4:00pm. Regular Admission is in effect (Members always admitted free). Our "Member's Only" raffle drawing will be held to win a flight in one of our aircraft. A great way to spend the day for the whole family at Planes of Fame Air Museum. Wheels

  20. Nanette : Her Pilot's Love Story by Edward Parks (1977) (I would add an image of the cover but I do not want to hotlink an image that will likely disappear in a relatively short period of time. Plus I have reached my attachment limit. ) Pacific Wrecks: https://pacificwrecks.com/aircraft/p-39/nanette.html Pacific Wrecks: https://pacificwrecks.com/reviews/nanette.html Wheels
  21. Lol, I had completely forgotten that I bought the Waco glider. I think I flew it two or three times and literally just forgot I had it. I am not the least bit upset about buying the aircraft since it was a fun aircraft to fly I just got busy with other aircraft. The first thing I tried and succeeded in doing with the Waco was to loop it. Wheels
  22. It took almost a year but there are crews that are finally starting to clean up the debris from the fire that took place in Hangar 4 at Chino. I was there two weeks ago and nothing had changed but today the area was fenced off and you could see several garbage bags had been filled and none of the disposable face masks were visible. There was even a couple of port a potties and 3 or 4 EZ-Up's for the crews to use to get out of the sun. At the moment since I just saw that work had started cleaning up the area I have not heard if there are any plans to build on the old hangar location? I still have not been down to Tustin to check out what is left of the North Hangar, Hangar 1. Wheels
  23. To keep from creating multiple threads regarding Planes of Fame and their multiple locations, Chino California, Valle Arizona, & Santa Maria California, I changed the thread title from Planes of Fame in Chino to just Planes of Fame. Planes of Fame Chino, California location: 14998 Cal Aero Drive, Chino, CA 91710 Planes of Fame, Valle, Arizona location: 755 Mustang Way, Valle Arizona At this time the Valle location is closed to the public, possibly permanently? The Planes of Fame, Santa Maria, California location will be at the Santa Maria airport (KSMX). Santa Maria Future Expansion Due to ongoing problems with road construction at and around the Chino airport the annual Planes of Fame airshow is being held in Santa Maria again this year. Website: https://www.centralcoastairfest.com/ Facebook: Planes of Fame Air Museum | Chino CA Facebook Photos: Planes of Fame Air Museum | Chino CA If anyone is in the Santa Maria area the last I heard, earlier today, there were still tickets available for the airshow on Sunday. 24. I forgot to add that there is a Member in perpetuity group also. https://www.mission4today.com/index.php?name=Groups After you click the link you have to choose the Member in Perpetuity group to view its members and the description for the group. Main reason was to make it easier for me to keep track of who we have given the forum rank. Edit: I knew there was a way to go to it directly. https://www.mission4today.com/index.php?name=Groups&g=44 Wheels
  25. Too true. I know it is far from complete but as I learn of one of our tribe passing away I update my Member in Perpetuity thread at M4T. I just noticed that I had not included Beebop so I will need to rectify that oversight. Wheels
