I had to double check the date on this one, haha! Welcome back.

I don’t think the tailwheel lock ever worked in CloD’s 109s, not sure about historical accuracy. However, I never needed the tailwheel lock in CloD, unlike BoX.

I was hesitant for Win10, myself. However, it isn’t as bad as I initially thought and it’s 10x better than Win8

Here's our first gathering in the AV-8B in DCS: World. I admit, I have a quite a ways to go but I finally landed one!

Bummer :/

This could be the super dark shadows that I’ve noticed and, I believe, Trev mentioned the other night. File is hosted at the original post: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=3322583#post3322583

Thanks Klai, I added them to the OP.

With the increase in JG1 members utilizing online streaming and video sharing, plus the addition of this subforum, I'd like to consolidate a list of channels that you can find various members' videos online. If there are any others that would like to be added to this list, please reply below and I'll edit the first post. Baron: YouTube Barton: YouTube Britchot: Twitch | YouTube Hess: YouTube Hotlead: Twitch Lipfert: Twitch Luftritter: YouTube Shadepiece: YouTube Snaggle: YouTube | Twitch Klaiber: Twitch Yogi: YouTube

Personally, I went with a webcam because I feel more connected with the streamers that I watch when they have themselves in the video. A voice is pretty disconnected while watching a stream, it's an extra layer of connection, I guess. Just don't forget it's on

Finally got around to watching this video and I highly agree with all your points, Barton.

They sold me on DX11 and VR support, I will be buying FC. I don’t recall the last time I paid for a plane in RoF and I suspect I won’t mind it for FC.

I am excited to see Bodenplatte, for sure! Already preordered along with the La-5FN and Bf-109G-6, in fact However, I wonder why they’re using IL-2 to add WWI content when they already have RoF on the same engine? That actually disappoints me because RoF seems all but abandoned with that announcement. Edit: Read the thread and I see where they’re stepping forward instead of retrofitting; however, that will make all those aircraft we already own, obsolete. I guess I have gotten my money’s worth over the years, though.

I enjoy it in games like DCS and ED, where visual acquisition is secondary to sensors. The feeling is awesome and you can sense the ground rushing up at you when you make a high alpha mistake in the M2kC, for example. In BoX, I plan on playing a campaign in it while streaming, it's awesome! However, picking up contacts far away is difficult due to the screen door effect. I wouldn't risk a tournament on it, at this point. My long term plan is to build a second gaming rig by the time the 2nd generation VR headsets release and offer my kids gunner slots in multi-crew aircraft. Sure, it will cost a bit for the second copy but it will totally be worth it!

I knocked out a M2K sortie through the city, myself. I do get some stutters near the buildings so I'm going to need to dial some of the baseline settings down.

I slid this down to Tech support. You must have read my mind from 2,500 miles away! I was just considering making 2.1 my VR install and 1.5 my monitor setup. When I get some time I’ll give this a go.

I stumbled on this guy's videos and site, the seat video attached is amazing! That's one heck of an approach for the casual flight simmer! http://bergisons.simpit.info/index

I got this simulator for myself and my daughter on Oculus and I looked up some tips on YT and found a Multiplayer of it. Reminds me a little of how these guys are working together.

Sounds like an excellent tool for practices, at least. I love the ability to look back on a flight and have tangible proof to your maneuvers instead of what you thought was happening.
