Klaiber Posted April 29, 2020 Author Report Posted April 29, 2020 Been listening to a lot of Selda Bağcan recently. She's a Turkish folk singer. I posted one of her songs two years ago: https://forum.jg1.org/topic/2038-what-are-you-guys-listening-to/page/16/?tab=comments#comment-44096 Here's her live in the 1990s I think. Quote

Klaiber Posted May 7, 2020 Author Report Posted May 7, 2020 I hope they do. I wanted to see them this tour, but had a hard time convincing my wife and/or my friends. Quote
-Hawkeye- Posted May 8, 2020 Report Posted May 8, 2020 I'll probably catch flak for this but I like this kind of stuff. Heard it on a movie and liked it. Video is stupid though, just listen to the music if you can....it's not hard rock like most everything here seems to be. Klaiber 1 Quote

Vonrd Posted May 12, 2020 Report Posted May 12, 2020 Always been a fan of Rodrigo Y Gabriela. Full disclosure... my eyes were drawn to Gabriela's crotch... I'm such a dirty bastard.... It's a long one but the first song is such a classic. https://www.npr.org/2020/04/28/844282914/rodrigo-y-gabriela-tiny-desk-home-concert Quote
Vonrd Posted May 12, 2020 Report Posted May 12, 2020 One more... NPR's Tiny Desk is such a treasure... the first song here is a perfect example. It's another long one... skip to about 13:00 after the first song... another beauty: https://www.npr.org/2020/03/23/819094653/the-black-crowes-tiny-desk-concert Labroisse and -Hawkeye- 2 Quote

Stuka Posted May 30, 2020 Report Posted May 30, 2020 Thanks Klayber, this song was part of my adolescence. It's from a local band. Klaiber 1 Quote

Klaiber Posted May 30, 2020 Author Report Posted May 30, 2020 That helps. I found them on the Encyclopaedia Metallum: https://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Astaroth/9633 But no details. Stuka 1 Quote
TedsOnMeds Posted June 19, 2020 Report Posted June 19, 2020 Uh oh! Here's where I oust myself as a huge nerd! These ones I find really nice to have on loop when you're doing your flyouts, gets you feeling active and making a face like you've smelled something rotten. I normally try to listen to full albums in score order, even if I don't like/am not feeling certain songs. I think albums are a really good way to experience musical expression as one whole unbroken "story" as a lot of a times these musical albums aren't made in a Vacuum, but rather all at once or focusing on a particular evolution of an artists sound or a certain Mood/story type. Heinrich Posted June 19, 2020 Report Posted June 19, 2020 Can we start another thread: What are you guys drinking? Alcohol or Non Alcohol, Coffee, tea whatever. Reason is that right now I enjoy the pleasure of drinking a KBS Espresso stout. Maybe we can find each other in the Untapped App Klaiber 1 Quote
