I let it sit.... the curious thing if I am reading it correctly is that it says it is downloading the game client which I assume is an update because the program is loaded. When I attempt to start it, it tries to update. Anyway... the numbers indicate that it is a 32 GB download... but it goes to 450+ GB and stops. I let it sit this time for about 4 hours and it just now finally came up with a FAILED TO UPDATE text on the red bar. Klaiber 1 Quote

Am having the worst time getting Great Battles installed. Gonna try deleting the update folder and see what happens. Haven't heard back from Support yet. Have 2 tickets in but nothing yet. I have no idea what the Dev guys did to F this up but damn. Have 3 tickets in now with Support. No Joy there either.....so far. On a different note, tried to get War Thunder to run but had trouble with that. Good thing it was free to try. Got everything running but no throttle control no matter what I tried. BFRUSA Posted November 28, 2022 Report Posted November 28, 2022 LIp, Have tried W and S keys, several button combinations on my joystick base, + and - keys, Shift and Control keys, made all changes the FAQs say to, etc. Throttle keys only work with a mouse and keyboard, and I can't fly using a mouse. (Of course, Virpil and Winwing use their own calibration / tweak software (I have both, Virpil CM3 throttle, Winwing stick) but they don't need to be and shouldn't be running when in game. Ludwig - I'm sure everything will be TOTALLY F-ed up and you'll have to go through this all over again. (SARC on). Yes, the mouse was unchecked for War Thunder. For IL2, everything was turned off, running administrator, etc. No Joy. Snaggle, I completely agree. The 3rd party set-up is a huge step in the wrong direction. However, I have several games, (Cossacks 3, Space Hulk Deathwing, etc), which run from Steam and are perfectly fine. I think I'll ask for a refund for IL2 and go over to Steam to see if their download will get me in the Air again. I did some work on the Scourge of War series.
