  1. If you're using a spawn, you have to either put in a 2-3 sec delay between the vehicles, then at the end of the route, you have to remember to hit each one with a delete MCU. For destroyed vehicles, tie them to a on destroyed, then to a 0 sec timer, then hit them with a delete.
  2. Looks really nice. Hope there's gonna be more than just the super cub
  3. If you're talking about the city of Moscow itself, I learned the hard way that the entire red shaded area is non-flyable.
  4. 141 covers an accelerated course study (colleges in general). Parts 61 and 91 covers the regulations for flying. 121 for airlines, 135 for air taxi.
  5. -------- My advice ---- #1: HAVE FUN #2: Get yourself aN FAA PTS (Practical Testing Standards book) --- https://www.faa.gov/training_testing/testing/test_standards/ #3: Start studying for the written now. You can take the test and and it will be valid for up to 2 years before you have to retake it. #4: Pick up an FAR, and study part 61, those are the primary regs for a Private Pilot. #5: HAVE FUN
  6. So are we doing FC or ROF tonight?
  7. Its suppose to be multi-crew.
  8. The yoke does center back when I release it
  9. Right, I keep forgetting about the limitations of table-top joysticks. I have and fly with a yoke system which gives me a large Y axis "throw". I haven't measured it, but I'm guessing I have a good 6" - 8" Y-Axis.
  10. I found the article that Baron posted up about the FM of the DR1 to be very enlightening. The 3 of us actually had a discussion last night about the forward stick pressure, and to discover that the WWI pilots DID actually have to deal with that, proving that its NOT a flaw with the in-game FM is awesome. I decided to leave the curves alone, and proudly earn my carpel tunnel syndrome.
  11. The instructors that I had were also very hands off, unless they needed to be otherwise. I think thats the best way to learn, they let you fly the airplane and make the mistakes. Yes, keep your face out of the instrument panel for right now (Thumb and fist below the horizon), that will come later in your Instrument Rating. Enjoy the scenery. I'm glad that you like it, welcome to the fold.
  12. Last night Butzzell, Dudley and myself went on the Japanese WWI server and started playing around with the aircraft. The nice thing about the server (right now anyways) is it is sparsely populated, so you can jump in and learn the fly the airplanes, do some formation stuff, and when you're ready, you head off and attack the AI that are buzzing around, or like in our case, we had a J5 member jump over and fly a Spad against us after flying around with us in the DR1.
  13. Well I bought it, and built a simple, quick MP mission in the builder. It will really be nice when they release the map and scenery objects.
  14. I might pick it up in the next couple of days. When I do, I can put together a quick mission to fly on
  15. I have my Home key set to recenter. Never had a problem
  16. I didn't buy them yet, and I was having that issue last night after the update. I evenually made it onto Liberty, but the messages were loaded with people having crashing issues, upon landing, upon applying mods, ect. Because of the update, there could possibly be a requirement for mission builders to re-load and resave the missions before they work right again like what happened with the last update
  17. Personally I have not flown a Diamond, but I hear they like to float forever and are stupid critical with landing speeds
  18. I'm gonna have to wait a bit to get either one. $140 in 1 go is a bit much
  19. Welcome. Our commander will get back to you soon
  20. Very cool. If he was awarded the Red Eagle (3rd class), that implies that there may have been a Red Eagle order 2nd class and a Red Eagle order 1st class. Was this so, and if so what were they awarded for?
  21. Congrats and well done. Keep up the good work
  22. Yes you have to buy both. For A2A I own all 4 GA aircraft, and several of Carenado aircraft, plus the PMDG 737 series. All three of those companies are superb for their aircraft. I would also suggest the Opus weather generator (but some people swear by HiFi Active Sky - which is on a 30% off sale right now) for P3d as well (P3d doesn't have one), and eventually the REX scenery sets. Now everything that I'm throwing at you right now is $1000s, but you dont need all of it right away, just the Sim, the A2A acft and a weather generator. Brit, if you're familiar with FSX, all P3D is is a VERY updated version of that sim.
  23. My personal choice is the a2a 172 with prepare3d. Yes, sims can cause bad habits, but they are great for learning check lists and flow checks. The a2a also has a walk around, so you can see some of the stuff you'll be looking at when you do the real one. Outside of just flying around for fun, I primarily use mine to practice instrument stuff, ie: approaches, hold entries, ect.
  24. Was going to buy the L-39, but changed my mind and will be buying the Mig-21
  25. Big congrats Baron!!!! Very well done Congrats to Luft for the Blue Max!!!!! Well done to the rest of the guys, keep up the good work.
