  1. This is the Blue & Grey Skin
  2. Nice find, gonna have to watch them in more detail.
  3. Well, since there is a lot of related information attached to each account - wiping out is generally prohibitive, and never really "wiped," but rather put in a DNU state. Something that extreme would probably require a "new" account under a similar, but different login name. The display name "should" be okay to be the same however. What I think is happening, is that you are logging in and able to post - but after posting, it logs you out and thus you can't post / reply again. Before that, try clearing out your cache. 1. Make sure you only have 1 browser with 1 tab open. 2. Make sure it's on a site, say google.com 3. Clear all the cache (however your particular browser does it) 4. Close the browser window. 5. Try to access the site again. On a side note: Do you happen to have it set up, here in the forums, to notify you upon replies to your posts? (By checking "Watch this topic and receive notifications of activity via e-mail?")
  4. What browser and version are you using? Are you still getting glitches?
  5. Britchott got me thinking about skins with his testing on mobile devices. While there is only one skin for mobile, and it's in place - there are many (~20) for general viewing. I think I will set the skin to something different each day and post a poll to see if users like it. (I like this skin, I don't like this skin) What does everyone think? Is this beneficial?
  6. Re: Retweet - nice feature just be aware that much of our forums are behind a log in, but the general forums aren't. Re: Mobile - I'll look into the skin for the mobile. Maybe there is a good mobile skin already.
  7. I noticed you have TWO accounts on Oesau. I am going to to delete one, JG1_Eiswolf. Make sure you clear your browser cache, shut down you browser completely and then bring it back up.
  8. What browser & version are you using?
  9. Go ahead and post new threads. They are easier to identify than a single thread with many pages.
  10. For those of you that are experiencing the Random Logout issue, please note the URL, the next time it happens. Specifically, I am interesting in learning if something is transferring you from www.jg1.org/xxyyzz to jg1.org/xxyyzz, without the www.

  12. Tried a few experiments tonight and rolled them back to 9:30 PM tonight. So if you made a post within the last 2 1/2 hours you'll have to re-post to have it show.
  13. The first few results of this search shows some promise, depending on which norton software you are referring to. https://www.google.com/webhp?sourceid=chrome-instant&ix=seb&ie=UTF-8&ion=1#hl=en&safe=off&output=search&sclient=psy-ab&q=how%20to%20turn%20norton%20off&pbx=1&oq=&aq=&aqi=&aql=&gs_sm=&gs_upl=&gs_l=&fp=2662c7bf2252b838&ix=seb&ion=1&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.r_qf.,cf.osb&biw=1205&bih=771
  14. Not to mention, unless the software and/or driver supports "flipping" your left/right movements will be reversed - as this sort of thing is looking at "the other side" of the image.
  15. Hey Geishardt! good to see you welcome back. You like IPAs?
  16. Sorry all, we blew a fuse last night and I forgot to check the status of the server.
  17. What browser are you using? How long are you on the site? Are you stepping away for a period of time? What page are you attempting to view?
  18. Man i hope it's an F-4. What do you guys think? Early no gun? later with gun?
  19. HAX!
  20. Quick and dirty Level of Detail. If you have a 3d model that at full level of detail is say, 50K polygons, it doesn't make much sense to render all 50K polys if the model is far away from the camera. So, decrease the level of detail by a certain amount, and you can save massive amounts of bandwidth and processing power. No sense rendering 50K poly's when all that's shown is 4 dots. Normally, this has been done on the CPU, but within the last several years - the ability to "program" the GPU has become prevalent, but in the coarse look at LoD in this context would benefit minimally if you do it on the card. Still have to send the full 50K poly mesh / model to the card. A finer look into LoD on the GPU may be nice to "blend" the model with the surroundings - so the object gets "lost" in it's surroundings.
  21. The compromised database held information such as user names, hashed and salted passwords, game purchases, e-mail addresses, billing addresses and encrypted credit card information, according to Newell. We do not have evidence that encrypted credit card numbers or personally identifying information were taken by the intruders, or that the protection on credit card numbers or passwords was cracked
  22. bump
  23. its a styling issue with the forums. doesn't play nice with others. notice Hess has an avatar, but only the top few pixels are visible of it.
  24. Nooo Hess! Don't get sucked in! Make him buy his own lottery ticket: win-win all around.
