Yes, the forums have a different styling. For now, going to leave it alone until one of three things happen. One, the forum creators do something to make it extremely easy to style (not likely). Two, I go in and change the forum code css references (not possible). Three, I go make a forum skin (uggh). The Events is one of the items on the todo list, not a big deal. One thing to keep in mind, we are running out of top level navigation space. We are at the limit for the items in the top navigation. A few things that can be done, reorganize the top level navigation, placing some as sub items of others. Also, reduce the number of characters in the menu items. Finally, offload the login/logout & profile tabs to another area.

I have the new skin up and in place. HOWEVER I need to update it in a few places. IMPORTANT - CONTENT EDITORS: Do not assign page or container skins under any circumstances.

Britchot, If you are interested in such things, check this out. Probably the best web tutorials on scale modeling. http://www.scaleworkshop.com/workshop.htm

I know right? I am so wanting these kits. Their FW-190 A-6 kit, by itself is extremely detailed with a whole engine included in the base kit.
-
Britchot, weather is probably the easiest part of modelling. Think extreme dilution and painters oils.

Yeah, unless you have to use wireless (phone, laptop, etc) go wired. Also, usually all wireless routers have at least 4 wired ports in the back of it. So if you are thinking of purchasing hardware, look into this as you may be able to kill two birds with one stone by getting the wireless router, and plugging your desktops into it, while having your phone connect wirelessly.

Sometime today or tomorrow I am going to remove all references to II./JG1_Erhardt in the database. Then we'll have him create a new account. Erhardt, until then, do not try to create a new user II./JG1_Erhardt.

Erhardt, do me a favor. Run virus and malware tools. http://www.microsoft.com/en-sg/security_essentials/Support/a8da1afc-6135-4337-bc71-761e7f7645be.aspx and http://shop.malwarebytes.org/lpa/342/3/7268/index_b.html?_kk=malware%20bytes&_kt=a242b45a-7b38-4f7d-b28e-ea3e0e10b55f&gclid=CKXOjKPcqasCFe4AQAodQnkHzg Looking at the logs, I see these errors "Object not set to an instance of an object." when trying to log in. (Starting on the 16th.) The reason I want you to run the virus/malware stuff, is the underlying error is related to a SQL Injection Attack. This would imply that there may be a browser hijack on your system. Not saying that there is, just saying that it's quite possible.

Some how he is no longer in the aspnet_Users table, but still in the jg1_Users. What was done with this account in the last few days? Did ANYTHING happen associated with it? I mean anything at all.

Well, I'm in the nVidia camp - but I think the AMD's 6970's are top notch. I think it's equivalent to my 560 Ti, maybe better. Spies and Klaiber would know.

Last night on das Adlernest, Klaiber and I were returning from England, after chasing Spit's and Wellingtons. Almost to Calais, I spotted a single contact just off the coast, which turned out to be a Hurricane flown by a guy named, Slatz. Klaiber turned left into him to meet him low head on. I flying close echelon right, waited about 10 seconds to bracket and turned into him high. i didn't have a great shot, so I started running cover for Klaiber. The hurricane was really agile, but started to run against both of us, swapping from Klaiber, to me, to Klaiber, to me. After his energy was practically wasted, we started double attacking him. With only machine guns, I got a good burst on mid-fuselage to which Klaiber thought the smoke from the hits was him shooting off into nowhere. (I think the default loadout for the E4 now includes practice rounds, hence the type of smoke we saw.) After that, I got tumbleweed and took me about 30 seconds to find them. When I saw them, I saw one plane climbing out and the other, going in. Klaiber tells me it's his E4 that is climbing out, but something doesn't look right. I do a fly by and looks okay, wings and tail is intact. Don't see holes. Klaiber puts down, and I follow shortly behind him. As I pass him on the field. This is what I saw.

Okay, the forums don't like IE - I don't blame it. But, in all seriousness this can be an issue for people that does use IE we probably need to address it. It seems to be worse in IE 9 than IE 8. First, the forums are a third party plugin to site's like ours. That being said, it's not a paid plugin. It also, uses a different set of styling than our site does. There in lies the problem. I have no clue what they are doing sooo a real fix would be waiting on them. At any rate, there is a work around you can use. Compatibility mode will make things work. Like replies and posts. BUT compatibility mode looks like crap while reading. So, while reading - don't use compatability mode. While writing, use it. Thanks Schweizer for figuring this out.

Two things that jump out at me 1. The processor - i5's and i7's seems to be the most friendly to CloD 2. The video card - 9500GT's just isnt enough Since you are an intel guy - I'll defer to one of them here but RoF and CloD are/will be very processor intensive as well as video intensive My recent rebuild of about 2 months ago: 3.4 GHz (OC'd to 3.8) AMD Phenom II quad core nVidia 560Ti OC 4GB memory This runs RoF flawlessly. Cliffs of Dover, I turn ground, buildings and forest down to medium or lower. Frame rates are nice.

No, the threads will stay there exactly as before the title appendage.
-
Just not in ASP.NET sites nor this portal. Problem is the code that paypal gives you, is form tags. This portal already uses a form tag and that's integral into server side events. And since the form tag is integral in the server side client side to server event management, you can't have nested forms.
-
Within these forums, there is a requirement to keep the subject lines unique. Basically it means we can't have more than one thread titled, "Hey Klaiber". I think this is a stupid requirement but it is what it is. I've let the creators know but I think they move at glacier speed on it. So... to get around it. I am going to archive old threads on a regular basis. What that means is threads will be renamed - "Archived (MM/DD/YYYY)" appended to the title. This will afford us the opportunity to reuse titles.

A couple of questions come to mind with this idea. First, @ $80 / month is there enough interest to pay that? In the past with other such, pay to play servers or donate to play servers, I got the impression that less than 10% of the server population was willing to donate. That by itself predicates a need for 400 players if the 10% pays $2 / month. Also, pay to play servers never stayed around or stay that way very long, because of that. The reason for that is quite clear, the # of free servers / player was such that it never was viable. Also, if the provider is charging $80 / month, that raises a red flag. What sort of bandwidth are they allowing, what are the CAPs? What sort of access do you get? Full computer access? Is it dedicated hosting or shared hosting? Actually, @$80/month, it's got to be shared. On a positive note. These websites, can handle subscription based services. If one wanted, they can have a new role, "Paid Services" and associate accounts with that role. The payments would have to happen elsewhere (PayPal, Authorize.NET, smoke signals, etc) but the functionality to handle subscriptions is there.
