Yeah, that's Kermit's plane:

If the D.VIIF is in, I would prefer the SE5a as a counter. More able to turnfight the Fokker. (Though the SPAD flown as B&Z might offer a contrast in tactics).

Pfalz D.IIIa Pilot Looking to Fly With Group

Even though it's no longer the "Pfalzcopter" it's still a viable mount IMHO. -
Pfalz D.IIIa Pilot Looking to Fly With Group
Vonrd replied to BlackFalcon's topic in JG1 Recruitment
Welcome BlackFalcon! JG1_Klaiber is the commander and I'm sure he will e-mail you as soon as he sees your post. We're all pretty well versed in the Pfalz D.IIIa and would be happy to fly with you. Please tell us a bit more about yourself... see the Recruitment post here: http://forum.jg1.org/topic/2526-welcome-to-jg1/ S! Vonrd -
Is it me or is the server REALLY SLOW? All other sites seem to have no problem. I'm seeing this in IE, Chrome and Firefox.

Thanks Hotlead & Zerfass! "I regret that I have but one life to give"... wait, I seem to have given many lives in the past . I always have a good IPA with me... heh heh

It's flown! What a sound that contra prop / engine makes! (That castoring tailwheel looks a bit sketchy during the T/O roll). First flight: https://www.facebook.com/TheBugatti100pProject/videos/843683509042123/ More videos: https://www.facebook.com/TheBugatti100pProject/videos?fref=photo EDIT: should have read the posts above.

Different films have different color sensitivities. Orthochromatic films (which were used first around the 1870's) rendered red as black, since they were not sensitive to that end of the spectrum. Panchromatic films, introduced ca. 1906, eventually took over about 1920, and have a more realistic color spectrum. So it would be important to know the kind of film used or the exposure date to determine the likely original color. That being said, some colors might be ruled out, for example: colors such as pink and yellow are never dark. Therefore, if the B&W shows certain areas as very dark, then you can probably presume these areas were not pink or yellow. But for a given tone on the B&W, there are many possible paint colors. So although you can rule out certain colors, you can never nail anything down.

Is the dragon emblem to shiny? Let me know asap so I can fix it. http://riseofflight.com/forum/topic/46771-fictional-albatross-dva-skin-jg1-kartoffel/ Removed the band around the edelweiss. Kept the extra black trim as well. http://riseofflight.com/forum/topic/46772-fictional-albatross-dva-skin-jg1-kempf-version-2/ All feedback welcome, I did do all those in one night. So if you guys see an error I missed please let me know. I already had to fix number trim on the pair of N17B. Both of these look brand new with the exception of the Maltese Crosses which have some chipped paint... I think this is on the template. If you're going for a factory fresh look, I would clean up the crosses. If not, they could use some over-all weathering. Regardless, a very impressive portfolio of skins... lots of work... well done. Voted yes on all. Salute!

Exciting read Hardy! Question; Are you able to record the whole mission in ROF? Every time I try, it stops about halfway through. I have plenty of hard drive space.

FYI, New Wings website has changed to .org http://newwingstraining.org/news.php

Was flying with I_Got_Shot tonight and he didn't register since he received an email stating that he's already registered because he flew in a previous FIF. He's not sure which team he's on. (I vote for Red team since I enjoy his company). Could you check it Klai and let him know? He's planning on flying tomorrow (Sat).

Hi All, Welcome to the International Flanders In Flames Online War! To sign up as a new pilot, please post below with the following information: Your In-Game Name: Your Squadron affiliation (with squadron website if possible): Your preferred side (Central, Entente or Don't Care): Your timezone: Your post within this thread is very important, as it lets us know who to give forum access to. After posting within this thread, please be patient. It may take up to 24 hours before your request to join a group has been approved. Please note: the two teams in FIF are not affiliated with either in-game side! After a campaign phase, they will swap sides, allowing everyone to fly all aircraft. If you don't get assigned to your preferred side the first time, you'll eventually be rotated to it (usually within 4 weeks). Thanks and Salut! JG1_Klaiber

Heh Heh ... that's why I like not knowing what the opposition has accomplinsed during the mission... no "Xs" on the map.
-
Tested the S16 and E.III in SP and they seem pretty well matched. The S16 is only $6 to buy. Would be a good match along with the Halb D.II against the Russian Nieuport 17.
-
Yeah, good point. Not sure if it's doable (or even adviseable) but if all 10 objectives are completed maybe the other primaries could be activated one by one. This might lead to one side Really kicking butt... might totally demoralize the losing side.
-
Well, how about a fixed number of missions (like 9 innings) with the most points winning? In the event of a tie we go for one more week (2 missions ... Wed AND Sat)? If that's a tie... rinse and repeat?
-
I'm all for that!
-
Sounds fair. I would agree to it, but probably should be implemented into the next session.
-
I'm pretty sure there's no mission on Saturday... no point since blue has won.
