Wow... looks great! Does this mean an actual website might be forthcoming soon?
-
I'm iffy at this point as to whether I'll make it. If Red team loses even a few pilots our operations will be severely hampered. I lean toward a postpone.
-
Should we keep FIF going on the Sat after thanksgiving or postpone 1 week?
-
There was at least one pilot who didn't wait 5 after disco (may have been another). I'm not going to name names... I'll leave it up to them. I don't think it had any significant affect but it was a rule infraction. I'll be out of town for a few days. Mom's in hospital with pneumonia.
-
There was a question about whether you had to wait 5 min to refly after a disco. Per the ruleset: "If a pilot discos due to a technical issue, they should immediately check in with their team commander (CO) and ask for a rules clarification. If the CO clears the pilot, he may re-enter the server and refly, as if nothing happened. This is true even if the pilot was in enemy territory. However, while the pilot is now "okay", the aircraft he was flying is lost, and is deducted from his team's existing totals. Additionally, all pilots returning from a disco still need to take their 5 minute timeout (as if they landed normally)." Should we think about waiving the 5 min wait?

I've got the Thrustmaster Cougar MFD (really just button boxes made to look like MFD displays) and they are recognized in ROF as well as all other sims - DCS, CLOD, BOS etc

Really exciting 1st four sessions and it doesn't get any closer except for a tie... (hmm... stating the obvious? ). Salute! Blues.

Once returned to friendly airfield Alb is too valuable to use in combat operations? (Wouldn't like to see an Alb flying for Entente). Mission sounds interesting.

For those that want to practice level bombing here is a package of missions compiled by MackStones a/k/a JackStones back in 2012. Just unzip to your Rise of Flight game directory, and it should install to your Single Missions folder (or unzip in a temp folder and place in your "ROF/data/Missions/Level Bombing Practice 1.028" or use JSGME). https://www.dropbox.com/s/tuyp2zyuoon52pj/Level%20Bombing%20Practice%202014.zip?dl=0

Ditto... Welcome Jo!

Now i'm really glad that my last minute "upgrade" to 10 didn't work and I reverted back to 7

I've missed flying with you vW and really hope your pain subsides soon. As all have said, please let us know how you're doing.

You thought navigation on the present map was difficult... I saw Galdiators! I know they were working on the CR-42. This will be a great match-up! Oh-boy, Oh-boy, Oh-boy, Oh-boy Moxy... check-out the strafing explosion towards the end of the video. EDIT: Looking at MP's update, I guess the Gladiators were AI only didn't see them on the list of new planes. JG I "Richthofen" - FIFXXIV Session 6 (23 July 2016)
Vonrd replied to Klaiber's topic in Squadron News
Good job! Keep up the good work... except maybe the wounding part Better than dead though -
Welcome Michal0045. Our commandant will probably respond soon. Meanwhile please post the following as noted in the thread "Welcome to JG1": JG1 is a historically minded online cyber-squadron with a long and distinguished history. Established in March 1992, we are the second oldest cyber-squadron currently active on the internet. JG1 is North American based, with a strong Central European contingent. Currently JG1 is focused on the following flight simulation games: Rise of Flight (as Jagdgeschwader Nr. I "Richthofen", which includes Jasta 11, Jasta 10, Jasta 6 and Jasta 4) IL-2: Cliffs of Dover and IL-2: Battle of Stalingrad (as Jadgeschwader 1 "Oesau", which includes I./JG 1, II./JG 1 and III./JG 1) DCS: MiG-15bis and DCS: MiG-21bis (as Jagdfliegergeschwader 1 "Fritz Schmenkel") If you are interested in joining JG1, please login to our forums, and start a new thread within the JG1 Recruitment section. Your new thread should have the following information: What is your Timezone? Do you have a joystick or HOTAS? Do you have TeamSpeak installed, as well as a working microphone? Do you have TrackIR, or a FreeTrack system for view control? What sims are you currently flying? How did you hear about JG1? Is there anything else that you'd like us to know? Thanks in advance for the interest! Looking forward to talking with you soon. ~Salut!~ -Klaiber

The pilot graciously admitted his mistake and seems to be fine with the punishment. Link: http://riseofflight.com/forum/topic/48187-flanders-flames-xxiv/page-2?do=findComment&comment=665745 No one is immune to making a mistake. Full disclosure and mea culpa here, see my Sortie 1 report: http://forum.jg1.org/topic/4120-fif-xxiv-session-16-july-2016-aar/

JG I "Richthofen" - FIFXXIV Session 4 (9 July 2016)

Barton, hope you get assigned to escort me Damn good show! -
Nice Barton. One (of the many) things that impressed was how well you were able to reacquire the bandit after looking away. I often lose them after checking six, etc. Especially if they're distant and low.

Wow! ... I don't think I'll ever make a 21st century warrior. Fascinating but it seems that it would take more time than I'm willing to commit to be proficient (or even enough knowledge to be dangerous to my self).
-
Been using VA for about 2 years now. In ROF I use it for flares, pistol, Stats, Switching seat positions and entering bombsight. For CLOD multiple uses... Eject, eject eject! Gunsight, Arm Bombs, Chocks... and several others. Still working on DCS. It sometimes takes a repeat command but mostly is very reliable voice recognition. I wish it had an "activation" button... my wife will sometimes sneak up and yell "EJECT!" with predictable results . I've since changed the trigger word. Gonna check VIACOM... sounds interesting. I think there are other voice recog progs out there also.
-
Maybe we'll see you more in ROF ... gotta get your money's worth (Guess you could say the same about me and DCS... so many buttons to map is what's holding me back)
