Registration has been a PITA in the past and probably still is. You have to register on the Stats page first (as a JG1 member) then do the Bloody April registration. I had to PM Baumer last year to get it straightened out.
-
I'll be in Saturdays... Maybe the later Fri missions. I would think we should register as a squad... could always fly as a Merc if no other JG1 show up for a particular mission.
-
Congrats all! BTW... it's customary for those receiving a promotion to buy a round for the house isn't it?

Luckily, my L-39 flights were free (if you don't count having to work on it as payment... had to replace the hydraulic pump on the ramp at the former Castle AFB in August... HOT). I see there's other options around the US and the world... http://www.flyfighterjet.com/jet-flight-price-comparison-overview

See above... It would be additional revenue, especially since TF has done so much work as unpaid volunteers. Great news though! I'll happily pay... credit card is primed and ready! Hopefully the issue of Windoze update KB2670838 will be resolved with CLOD shift to DX11 since that update is now required for BOS since the latest update and ClOD doesn't play well with that update.

https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/shop/modules/spitfire/ Downloading now! EDIT: Anyone having trouble taking off and landing the Dora or Kurfurst will Love the Spit. Well mannered ground handling. EDIT...Further impressions: Very easy to fly... maybe too easy. Stall is mild has some warning buffet... falls off on wing opposite the turn (over the top). Doesn't really spin... has to be Forced into spin and spin doesn't seem to fully develop. Recovers with standard spin recovery input within less than one turn. Lots of players on Steelballs server... going there now. EDIT: 1 kill, 1 loss It will turn tighter than 109 but pilot GLOCs out so it isn't really an advantage there. 109 still better energy fighter. Had to put some curves in the controls... too sensitive at default. Still... I'm liking it.

I demand a recount! Well done Blue! A close fought Flanders and great fun.

JG I "Richthofen" - FIFXXV Session 7 (3 December 2016)
Vonrd replied to Klaiber's topic in Squadron News
Thanks Klai! and congrats to Pfeil and Barton... does it hurt much Barton? -
Beautiful! Would make a great calender.

I've been flying the Bf-109 and FW-190 quite a bit lately. Multiplayer servers are pretty slim though. I'm hoping it picks up when the Spit and Normandy map comes out.
-
Not to mention getting shot
-
What time will you be online?
-
Sorry Klai. Won't be able to get on tonight... in-laws coming.
-
Took a nap... longer than I had planned. Maybe tomorrow?
-
Anybody up for some WWII? DCS, COD or BOS. Tonight or this weekend?
-
She looks like a real bitch... sorry. Give her a belly rub for me. To many years of Joy.
-
Wow... looks great! Does this mean an actual website might be forthcoming soon?
-
I'm iffy at this point as to whether I'll make it. If Red team loses even a few pilots our operations will be severely hampered. I lean toward a postpone.
-
Should we keep FIF going on the Sat after thanksgiving or postpone 1 week?

There was at least one pilot who didn't wait 5 after disco (may have been another). I'm not going to name names... I'll leave it up to them. I don't think it had any significant affect but it was a rule infraction. I'll be out of town for a few days. Mom's in hospital with pneumonia.
-
There was a question about whether you had to wait 5 min to refly after a disco. Per the ruleset: "If a pilot discos due to a technical issue, they should immediately check in with their team commander (CO) and ask for a rules clarification. If the CO clears the pilot, he may re-enter the server and refly, as if nothing happened. This is true even if the pilot was in enemy territory. However, while the pilot is now "okay", the aircraft he was flying is lost, and is deducted from his team's existing totals. Additionally, all pilots returning from a disco still need to take their 5 minute timeout (as if they landed normally)." Should we think about waiving the 5 min wait?

I've got the Thrustmaster Cougar MFD (really just button boxes made to look like MFD displays) and they are recognized in ROF as well as all other sims - DCS, CLOD, BOS etc

Really exciting 1st four sessions and it doesn't get any closer except for a tie... (hmm... stating the obvious? ). Salute! Blues.

Once returned to friendly airfield Alb is too valuable to use in combat operations? (Wouldn't like to see an Alb flying for Entente). Mission sounds interesting.

For those that want to practice level bombing here is a package of missions compiled by MackStones a/k/a JackStones back in 2012. Just unzip to your Rise of Flight game directory, and it should install to your Single Missions folder (or unzip in a temp folder and place in your "ROF/data/Missions/Level Bombing Practice 1.028" or use JSGME). https://www.dropbox.com/s/tuyp2zyuoon52pj/Level%20Bombing%20Practice%202014.zip?dl=0
