I've played it in VR, and it was pretty good. I have Oculus, and at first I couldn't get centered in the cockpit. But after a few technical trials, I was finally able to get it working. Honestly, it feels real. They did an amazing job.

That's great! I'm glad you were able to find yourself and your skin. It's always a crapshoot with Internet Archive. It saves some things, and doesn't others. Still, it's a window into the past, which is really cool.

Hi Wufnu, it's great to hear from you! I don't think we ever flew together, as I joined JG1 in June 2001, and was in Jasta 6 under Wolfgang and Wilhelm. But @Butzzell, @Lowengrin, @Wurger, @Degelow, and @RivRat are still around. @EvLeep even pops in once in a while, though, it's been about a year since I've heard from him. I have a lot of fond memories of the old black and red website. If you're ever interested in flying again, just let us know. We're mostly flying IL-2: Flying Circus and Rise of Flight right now.
