Will there be a test run tomorrow?

Worked fine for me just minutes ago.. When u are in the key mappings on default you are in the gui for text search; there u need to klick on the upper right tab, then press any button and it listed the assigned command for the button or control (well: I did not test axis assignments...)

So, it seems that we are on central side... who's participating in the test event tomorrow? I hope I can join but cannot say for sure by now...

No, I mean if we (as JG1) have chance to register with the option "put me (us) in where you need us for balance"

Signed up for central, would have no problem to fly Entente as well if needed for balance... => is there any channel where it's possible to place such additional infos?

Hi Guzzler, I am part of the JG1 EU group flying IL2 (based in Austria), nice to see another euro-based pilot interested joining us Some Infos on your questions ahead : - We are a group of 4 JG1 pilots flying frequently (meaning several times a week) together, and having one non-JG1-Friend that flys with us many times. - I would say we have a preference for flying german side if situation on a map allows a free choice, but we do also fly allied side, e.g. because of balancing reasons or because the mission requires so. For your info: We fly many times on the wing walkers server, where nearly all of the missions are designed that way, that all human players fly on same side against AI. So here ~50% of the missions offer no other option than to fly certain allied planes. We like that server very much, simply because it forces you to fly also planes you normally would not choose.... - Our regular training sessions are Monday and Thursday evenings after 2000 GMT... I have kids too and our standard good night procedures hardly allow me to take off before 2100 CET or even 2200 CET... but there is allways the option that you find other interested pilots also on other days. For allignments and general coms we have a WhatsApp Group and a Discord Group Looking forward to see u in virtual skies Salute Etzel

Some impressions of yesterdays action with SIA, where we flew attacks on a station and industrial complex at finnish virtual: We were at sparate discords but used SRS for X-coms which overall worked out fine... Action on the ground: There were also another Pilot doing High Level Bombing exactly at the same time on the same target: ..with pretty good results as well... Impressions from a second run on the same target: Heinrich unfortunatly was hit by GF on the way over there, same happened to Dobratz who followed behind: SIA Escort in Formation Perfect 3-pointer at the edge of the airfield In a 3rd Sortie I joined the escort flight with SIA as Heinrich was already flying to the same target again: on the way home Aproach on the Airfield... SIA Pilots know how to fly (and land) in formation... ...also Heinrich made it back with perfect 3-pointer... Was nice action again...

Hey, I am available for any plane, probably best used in DFW! Problem: Cannot join before 1900 or 1930 GMT; so Q is if there are any missions left at that time? So if such late comers as me are usefull, just let me know where to show up for receiving any specific orders... (and esp. where I would find a PW to join the server, as I never "officially" signed up)? S! Etz

I flew 2 or 3 Missions on a Saturday at Knights Server, think 2 weeks ago... Was nice and as far as I remember Von, Jaus, (I think) Heinrich und some J30ies were there; but that was the only occasion so far. How was the BS test run yesterday? Finally was anyhow flying WW2, but in the list I did not even find the J5 Server yesterday in the evening...

Hi Hotlead, long time no see, hope you are doing fine! I noticed the tournament and would be interested to fly, as usual the timefrime is a little bid early for me, but I hope I could at least join some missions for 2nd half. So I am looking around here: Any other JG1-Pilot planning to participate? Btw.: Are you and J5 also flying the Knights of Skies (which moves to Friday during Black September time)?

Flew few missions last Sunday with some SIA Pilots on FVP Server and during on of them SIA_Koss managed to kill a Stuka with a Rocket and he created a very funny Vid out of it:

Hi, Friday last week we had again some great sorties together with SIA on Finnish Virtual, made a Vid out of the 1st mission I participated: From JG1 @Heinrich, @Greif and me attented, from SIA Noken, @Stahl, Suren, Koss, Taipan and Mitts were flying ...we did some more very nice sorties on that evening and I have also some recordings from them, but so far I did not even find the time to take a look at that material, so not sure if some other films of those sorties will follow (allthough I plan to do it) Salute Etzel

Friday a week ago, 19th of May, @Greif, @Heinrich and me flew 2 very nice sorties together with some SIA Pilots (Stahl, Noken, Suren, Arc and Koss, if I remember correctly)... I created a film out of my vid caps I took during the flying: Still pretty amateurish vid-cut, but well... Was very cool flying with them

Probably depends on the success of the 1st one.... Like it was with the Ju52, where with quite some delay the C-47 followed

Think it's time to use that info-channel as well: Greif and me are going to fly IL2 tonight, starting ~2000 UTC. We contacted also SIA if they wanna join us (as they are doing regularly in our EU sessions). No specific plans, but if it finally would be a bigger group, it might be a good chance to fly on any major server again. Maybe also some non-EU JG1 Pilots also are available at this time and are in the mood to join us..

Hi Pilots, 1st: There is an IL2 sale running, much of the content (even the latest collector planes) are on discount => good chance for some new pilots to grab some items 2nd: Seems IL2 Development is really not dead, there are some very interesting plan(e)s, take a look on the current development blog: Dev blog #342 / IL-2 Sturmovik: Great Battles (il2sturmovik.com) They plan to add towable gliders!!!! Specifically the American Waco CG-4A..... => that adds the possibility of some very interesting missions... Salute Etzel

Well, I think that it would be good for JG1 to show some presence in that event and basically I would be interested to fly it. But for me the timeslots are rather difficult to meet, it might be possible for me to fly but I can't make it fix, so I am reluctant to indicate now anything "officially", because I am affraid that the Picture for JG1 is even worse, if we have few pilots indicating participation but finally won't show up at all. That could leave a taste of unreliability of JG1, which in my eyes is more negtive than to say "sorry, it doesn't fit in our shedules this time"...

All in pink & purple! Oh god my kids would love them....
