Hi Guys, from my game recordings of the last TiF I created now my first (longer) film: Well, I used the free movie maker app, have no experience in film creation at all, no wonder it's pretty amateurish.... Nevertheless I hope it gives some impression of the action we had there Salute Etzel

Needed to do this few weeks ago: the relevant files are in the folder ...\Steam\steamapps\common\IL-2 Sturmovik Battle of Stalingrad\data\input\ => So definitely backup any file there! For the Control Mapping I think all relevant data is in the "input.map" file, that one you simply copy into the folder on the new system. Very nice feature in IL2 is, that during the 1st startup on the new PC it askes which device of my old PC shall be mapped to which one on the new PC, so that it was not needed to do manually a re-mapping from joy_X to joy_Y.... etc. Unfortunatly I don't remember any more if I did copy any other file from my old system into that system (esp. for the "devices" text file I don't know if it was generated automatically during that described action or if I did copy this file before the 1st start of IL2 => sorry).

Joined the group now, but to be hones: I am not sure what's the specific purpuse of it? As far I saw at the first glance the normal every day chatting that happenes here in the form is partially going on there, but (at least in my perception) in a less structured way.... So is this group meant to be used as PUG in future?

Guys, I have a Question regarding that Thrustmaster MDF cougar pack I guess some JG1 Pilots might have in use: Thrustmaster MFD Cougar Pack - Pack mit 2: Amazon.de: Computer & Zubehör Point is: Up to now I never took a close look on this device as I thought these are really some displays specially designed for Jet Simulators. But as I understand it now after checking more in detail, those are simply 2 additional game controllers with plenty of additional assignable buttons => Is this the case? And if yes: Do they work in IL2 BoX? Because if this is the case I finally found what I was looking for eternities and even at a very reasonable price!! So anyone of other JG1-Oseau-Pilots have them in use and can confirm if they are working with IL2-BoX? Thanks / Salute Etzel

aaand btw.: Tonight at least Greif and me will be flying IL2 somewhere, maybe also Heinrich might join later on. Don't have exact time plan now, but I think realistic target time for take off could be 19:30 UTC (21:30 CET) Maybe someone else likes to join??

Well, my argument pro own sub-forum(s) would be: You see directly on top-level of forum-page "ah, there is some activity planned => let's check if I can join". Basically, IF there would be sub-forums I would anyhow prefer one sub-forum per section per Section "Richthofen" "Oseau" and "Schmenkel". Why? Because then I would see at first glance "Ah, cool, someone planes to be active in WW2 or FC => let's check if it fits my evening plans" ... vs "Ah, ok, DCS action planned ... not relevant for me" ..well, to make it clear: Not high priority wish of mine, pure "nice to have".

Some impressions from todays TIF Dry-Run. 1st set of Pics is attack on Kartoffel HQ with @J30_Reinamann and me in A20 in a low level attack. Pics 1 - 3 is my run with dropping 20x100s in one row with a delay of (I think) 0.1 seconds (maybe I set to 0.25 but I don't think so). Anyhow the range covered HQ area pretty well Reinamann finally finished Objective, but ground fire shot off his rudder... unbelievable he was able to land at the refuel and repair base with that plane 2nd set is out of the run on the northern HQ, where @Pragr first scored some hits from high altitude, before I went in with P-38 Package delivered.... Was great fun today!!

FYI: Will be online at IL2 GB in around 1 hour, maybe some other like to join
