  1. Hey guys, I love posting my videos here and seeing what you guys think about them, and being able to share them with you is very fun for me. I do not want to cover the forums with separate threads as I start uploading content more regularly, so I decided to make a master thread that I can update as I release content. Also if you guys enjoy the videos leave a like and subscribe! I'm not trying to make a huge channel, just one that I upload content that I want and one that I think will be enjoyable to other flight simmers. 2. Yeah thankfully I survived! I didn't see anything before I engaged the Ace, and really wish I had.
  3. I definitely plan to!
  4. Here is a video of a sortie from last weekend's FiF session. DavJack and I worked very well together, and I wish I had our first engagement as well, but sadly I wasn't recording.
  5. Etzel, I think some people have conflicts with Nvidia GeForce Experience if you have that installed. I would also maybe try uninstalling all your video drivers and reinstall them off of a USB maybe.
  6. Thanks Luft, I'll have to tinker a bit.
  7. I think the new update to the game really took a toll on some folks. I believe most had to rebind their controls and redo their settings, so I imagine it had to do with the update.
  8. It's definitely a hardware issue because the above description is in DIView as well as every sim I tried it in. Not sure what exactly happened, but something did at some point. I reflashed the firmware to no joy even.
  9. That is odd, and sounds like an issue I had earlier in the year with a warthog throttle. However, in my case after all the trouble-shooting in the world, I can only come to the conclusion that the sensors went bad. The thing with my throttle is that the axis will read full 100% until I push it all the way forward and then it suddenly reads 0%. Perhaps the sensors aren't bad, but just loose. Anyone have an idea on how to fix?
  10. Love that channel, Snaggle! It's what gave me the idea to do tacview in the first place. I'm still trying to figure out all the keybinds on the keyboard to get the playback to do what I want...
  11. Thanks Klai, I wasn't overly pleased with it, but it gave me some ideas about how to do it in future. I do think it adds a lot to the video though.
  12. Hey guys, here is a new video I did of a couple sorties in the MiG-21 recently! Also, I did a tacview analysis at the end, let me know what you think. Cheers! -Shadepiece
  13. Hey Drifter, glad you're looking to join in!
  14. Thos are looking very good, Larner!! Excellent work!
  15. He's always happy to get people set up properly. BoS is a very finicky gme, and those settings can make a big difference. I have the settings, and wouldn't mind walking anyone through it.
  16. Thanks HotLead! I use nVidia shadowplay to capture the footage, and it's not hard to make things look good on a 1080 which I'm thankful to have. I also am recording on an ultrawide 1440p monitor which also helps a lot. I also, have a buddy who has spent a lot of time fine tuning the nVidia control panel settings as well as the in-game settings. The settings have a very significant effect when they aren't set up well. There is a good thread on the IL-2 forums that show the optimized settings per the devs. Not sure about the track issue. As far as editing, I did it all in shotcut, which has honestly not worked in a very long time for me. I have a friend who talked me through some export settings to get the quality, but I also realized that my CPU was over-clocked too fast, so whenever I was trying to export and process the video my computer was blue-screening! Therefore, I haven't edited a video properly in a long time. It's actually been a real bummer because, the biggest barrier for me to make more videos was a hard time finding a good video editor. Anyhow, I'm glad to have gotten this one done!
  17. Oh I had the sharable link, which is why is wan't working I suppose. Thank you!
  18. Hey gents, I made a pretty cool guncam video that I think you can appreciate. It's a sort of montage from a few kills on Berloga while flying a 109 G-2. Would be great if you guys could comment or leave a like on it, and let me know what you think. PS. Not sure how to embed here...
  19. Wow, I have gone through just about every convergence there is, and that is one topic that I have burned out on haha! I've tried everything over the years, and honestly I find vertical convergence much more important to how I aim than horizontal. Personally, I like 400. It just seems to be most in line with what I've gotten used to holding in a deflection shot. If anyone is interested in taking a look at a gunnery guide I made a couple years back I've posted it below. I don't mean to take over the thread, but it seems pretty relevant.
  20. This smells heavily of inexperienced pilot, but the video was really very good! Something like that would have helped me when I was just trying to understand energy states.
  21. That's exactly what I was thinking when I heard. Security in Aviation is nothing to scoff at, but security as a concept is a reactive game. It's very hard to preemptively prevent something like this. Sad as it might be, sometimes people slip through the cracks of security. For how much is already spent on security I have a difficult time believing that a large increase in measures will provide a marginal security improvement at best, but will absolutely degrade the already lacking efficiency in aviation. Time will tell.
  22. It's a sad situation. The ATC recording is pretty heartbreaking.
  23. So I got a chance to get in, and see what we are working with here, and so far I think it's decent. I honestly wouldn't go much further than that though. They need to work on the bullet strike effects without a doubt. I also think the nose up tendency in the Dr.I is absolutely awful, I'd really like to know how accurate that is. Also, the guns are firing a bit fast, I do prefer the slower fire rate mod in RoF. The damage model doesn't seem to be fully fleshed out. So all-in-all, I think it's a good start, but I really hope that they do these things the right way. I love RoF, and I think it deserves a really properly good update into IL-2 GB.
  24. Speaking of which it looks like we might be able to move in soon!!
  25. I went ahead and used that promo code, Vonrd. Thank you for that, I am very excited to finally get a chance to jump in the old birds!
