This is great! I only got to see these things fly for a few months in Pensacola, FL in 2005 before they got decomm'd but it always put a smile on my face.

The Romanians were supposed to buy a bunch of them but they tested them next to the IAR 80 and found it to be inferior in almost every way, so they cancelled the order.

I was running around town yesterday going through antique shops and found these two books. They're both war time books as first is printed in 1942 and the second is printed in 1943! The interesting thing about the second one is one of the peculiarities in the illustrations inside. It's one of the first illustrations and it clearly depicts a P-39 taking a high angle lead shot on a German plane that, while an inline engined fighter, is clearly not a Bf-109. I thought that was kind of odd that with all of the war time pictures of planes on both sides it should have been easy to draw up an actual Luftwaffe fighter if they were going to go through the hassle of drawing real allied planes. But then I turned the page... That's not a Bf-109 or a Fw-190, but an He 112! I got hit with the realization that a squadron of He 112s was sent on a propaganda tour with photos of the planes at various bases in France being taken to make it look like they had numbers of these planes operational even though they never really saw combat with any military, least of all the Luftwaffe. One of the side effects of that tour may have been it being included in this book instead of the Luftwaffe's actual workhorse in the Bf-109!

I ****IN GOT IT! Went into MSCONFIG>BOOT and found both boot options and sucessfully deleted the one that doesn't work.

Might be my SSD. I disabled the HDD and it still came up. Then I completely disconnected it and it (2 windows) still came up. I did have an installation of windows on my SSD that I thought I overwrote because it was never identified but I guess it's ghost is running around in my PC. Now when I put the windows disk in it won't even load. This crap is getting old, fast.

Been AWOL for a bit because I caught a virus and had to reinstall windows. Decided to reinstall it to my SSD instead of my HDD so it would boot faster and all that. Backed everything up and found I couldn't format my HDD from the windows installed on my SSD and I couldn't do it from the windows installed on my HDD because it was using the information on it. After a bit I got it worked out and managed to format my HDD but for whatever reason when I boot up my computer is still detecting the windows on my HDD (which isn't there). Anyone know how to get rid of this?

I use the trackclip but I have considered the Pro. Saw some reviews saying it was very fragile but others have said that issue is fixed. I have my environment set up so I don't get that many bugs but it still happens. May get the Pro just to increase the range of motion I have to detect.

Free track is another thing that will make the game a lot easier and fun. It really makes keeping up situational awareness easier. And welcome!

Just saw an article on a supposed lunar landing hoax confession from a cameraman. It was pretty well written. In fact, it was far too well written to have been so by someone of the supposed author's backgriund. Not to mention the article ending, "I'm not damn fool! Are you?" April fools is such an awesome day

Or at least an attempted escort. Got engaged as lone escort and separated from the recon. Tried like hell to save him, but there was only so much I could do. Thankfully I got out of there alive, though not without fighting for it. Enjoy!

Looking forward to flying with you Ewald! Former military here as well (8yrs USN). This outfit is a bunch of fun to fly with, talented, and always looking to get better. I think you'll get a lot of enjoyment out of flying with these guys and the teamwork in combat is very fulfilling. Some of the best fun I've had online is fighting with these guys against some of the experienced allied pilots in Ghost Skies and Storm of War. It's something else when you have to wipe the sweat off your brow and get the circularion back in your hands after a white-knuckle furball.

That was a good fight! You guys did well. Vonrd should have waited a little longer to make his pass to avoid head ons to lessen the chances of collision and to get a better tracking shot. HotLead, you gunnery was a little behind the DR1 until you got in close, but was good overall. When you dove in on the DR1 that last time, instead of pulling through the bottom you should have rolled back level and extended. This would have allowed you to extend away and rgain the altitude you lost in your overshoot. Even if your wings would have held, the maneuver you were pulling would have put you under the DR1 and close to him which is the last place you want to be.

Good video! Great job waiting until you had an opening to attack and then get out alive. I had a similar situation with 4 Camels while flying a D.VIIF and without using that thing's ability to run and climb I would have been torn to shreds.
