There was a replica glider several years ago and it flew well. It's now in a museum in Germany IIRC. A turbine powered replica is soon to fly. The engine is basically an RC model engine. Basically the highest thrust one available with 1 Kilonewton of thrust which works out to about 250 lbs of thrust (I may be mistaken regarding metric to English standard calculation). Enigma is leaving as Admin of his DCS CW server. Heatblur taking over. The Cold War and the WWII eras are really my main interest in DCS. I do have the more modern modules but hardly ever fly them. I really hope that the CW server will continue and think that we should support it by flying it more often during practices. There are not really any other CW PVP servers as alternatives.

I finally got this working and it's a gamechanger IMHO. You can watch a Youtube tutorial while in game (I watch the pertinent part while in Active Pause which allows me to click whichever switches). Pause the vid and close the browser then fly that part of the mission. Hit Active Pause again and re-open the browser to continue or re-wind and go over it again. I was always super nervous (and super careful) when working around hot seats in the L-39. Especially terrifying were the canopy ejection rods which seemed to be targeting my scrotum (there are two each side in the cockpit / canopy rails) as I swung a leg into the cockpit.

@Flyboy, this is what I was talking about using the Jester short, long and double presses. It's more like Petrovitch in the Hind. Currently I only use the Jester wheel for ground ops and pre engagement (but I'm still in early stage struggling). Just starting ground attack and I'm still floundering...

I'm still wading through learning the Rhino and am hoping that those with more success / experience with it would be so kind as to list the essential buttons that need to be mapped to HOTAS and what their particular function is. I have the basics but am struggling with radar, weapons and nav/comm.
