  1. This is a skinpack compiled for use by the "Iron Curtain Virtual Aviators" lead by 526th Blade who provided much of the research, editing and advise. Thank you sir. The four aircraft presented, 68-0467, 68-0526, 69-0244 and 69-0260 are depicted as they were at Ramstein Air Base circa 1983 and are rendered as close as possible to historical photographs. The folder exceeds the User Files size limit so it can be downloaded here: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/gc6zjlo9tiokvkwklfxpb/USAF-526th-TFS-Skinpack.zip?rlkey=s6u4u88fnvzgn30vqzulvamnk&dl=0 The zip is designed to be OVGME friendly. Just make sure that all five folders including "USAF_526th_Common" are placed in your "\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Liveries\F-4E-45MC" folder.
  2. triple j has a lot of good stuff. I especially like their cover playlist "Like a Version" I think this is better than Collins' original
  3. The beautiful "girlfriend" at ~2:30 is actually my niece... 'freal
  4. Witt used a 3rd party process called "Joy to Key". It converts keystrokes to axis and vice versa. There's a similar but more complex one called "Joystick Gremlin". Both are free. I'm not sure if he meant that he has to keep that process open while playing but probably does have to.
  5. Amazing how well this works in speakeasy garb
  6. I wonder what the words for "positive rate" is in Russian? This guy obviously doesn't know.
  7. RIP Brian
  8. Maybe an iffy cable on the problematic headset? Try swapping cables.
  9. Started watching this and was blown away: So I then found this and was blown away by the sheer numbers
  10. Look at @Lee's post directly above. Before you plug in the headset or install Pimax Play I would completely uninstall / remove WMR and OpenXR. I'm pretty sure that OpenXR was the possible cause of all the freezes I was getting in IL2. Pimax has it's own version of OpenXR embedded in Pimax Play. I used Revo uninstaller and also followed some Google instructions for Regedit and removing them. I think there is also something in Windows Settings regarding WMR. Google "completely remove WMR". @Labroisse & @Flyboy? Any recommendations?
  11. "Incredibly restored footage of WWI battlefields as seen from an airship, one year after the war ended. Filmed by Jacques Trolley de Prévaux, a French Navy officer and a pioneer of French Naval Aviation. He was retrained to fly dirigibles (airships) which were crucial for artillery spotting, detecting sea mines, and anti-submarine warfare during WWI. For his service and actions, he was awarded the Légion d'honneur and the Croix de guerre. In 1919, just months after the Armistice, Jacques undertook a remarkable flight with a motion picture camera attached to his airship. He flew over the war-torn landscapes from the Belgian coastline to the French city of Verdun, documenting the unparalleled devastation. His footage captured the flattened ruins of places like Ypres, the flooded shell craters of Passchendaele, and the miles of zigzagging trenches still visible from the air. The full 78-minute film was lost, but found again in late 1990s. Footage source: • 1919: Aerial views of Ypres Music: The Sleeping Prophet by Jesse Gallagher RESTORATION ---------------------------------------- 1. Cleaned dust and scratches 2. Stabilized footage 3. Upscaled to 1080p 4. Colourised footage 5. Increased frame-rate to 60fps ----------------------------------------"

  14. If you have a decided preference for which side or which people you wish to fly with, please be sure to indicate that preference when you post here. I will do my best to accommodate that preference. Otherwise I am mostly focused on achieving team balance.

  16. I doubt that Microcenter would have other quality rudder pedals such as MFG Crosswinds but the Thrustmaster ones seems a bit steep. Also, there are now better HOTAS sets than the Warthog out there (but Tariffs ) although it's still a pretty good HOTAS. Seems like a good deal and he will have good tech support from Microcenter. I sure wish there was one in my neighborhood. I have an AMD CPU Ryzen 5 and no issues so far. I couldn't make out the Power supply. Is it 850W? I would seriously consider upping that to 1000W and make sure it's, at the least, Gold certified. That 5080 is going to suck a lot of juice.

  18. Not working for me: "This site can’t be reached"
  19. I have edited the "Objectives" thread which may help with the confusion about airfields.
  20. I'm pretty much kidding but still wouldn't mind taking a peek.
  21. Yeah, I'm really concerned about that. Yes, you can have your Big Red...
  22. "In aircraft maintenance, the "hell hole" refers to a small, usually cramped and difficult to access compartment, often located in the tail section or under the aircraft, where critical components are housed. This name is used because the space is generally hot, awkward, and unpleasant to work in."
