  1. Updated the skins of the Pfalz D3A and Albatros DV based on tip from @Vonrd. Looking at my emblem it was okay for WW I but it looks kinda stupid on WW II planes. With the double Yellow 4. I changed the emblem a bit so now its more an emblem than a serial number (I hope). I'm truly sorry for the extra work @Klaiber. I will send you the large emblem in a PM. NB now I hope that these skins are okay, if so I will update the others with the new emblem.
  2. Just to inform you: Virpil has created a new throttle (€270) and a S-curved extension (€50) for the joystick. Pre-orders are open until 11 October.
  3. Thank you @Vonrd, appreciate the comments in the Skin thread. I will make them darker and post the updates there. I can also send you my .xfg file or .psd from those skins. You can see how I put my skins together (only if you want and have the time).
  4. I’m away from home right now. Tomorrow I will do the reset.
  5. I have this problem: when I use, for example, the slider to control the radiator it goes in the last quarter from 50% to 0 without anything in between. In the VPC-Joy-setup is shows that the dial, slider and z-axis are at 74%-ish when centered. I have found no way to re-calibrate them in order that at the center of those axis's (right at the bump) the value is 50%. Any MT50 user with a solution?
  6. After posting I thought is this okay to do? In this post I purely want you to show how the space looks like, where I sit while I meet you guys in the virtual skies. No one thinks or cares the same as others about their stuff, for instance I'm not a great car washer, but I do care a lot for my bows, that makes us as human beings different and beautiful. By no means I have a negative feeling about someone who has organized his rig in an other way or wants to spend more or less money on the set up. On the contrary I find that interesting. I'm open for suggestions to improve my space with ..... yeah I know I don't have a MW poster The original post: @Lipfertwas brave/open enough to share his gaming area with us in his post here When I went through the post I thought "This is funny/interesting to see how other members have their gaming rig set up." We spent a lot of ours behind this machine, flying reading posting editing creating so why not show that to each other. How cool would it be to show their 'cockpit' (on my cellphone with automatic word proposal this sentence could have ended in a criminal offence) Than I saw this video from the Grim Reapers (a DCS warband), at first I was shocked, than I couldn't stop laughing: this can't be true. I'm still under the impression that all this is was a joke. If done scarier things than this so I would like to show you all my gaming PC Set U, so here is my space without the details of the hard ware (is that worth knowing?) : I use the table also for some model building. Underneath my chair I have a Buttkicker Gamer 2.
  7. I'm in for today's session (okay its still night time here, but sometimes it's the owl blood in me that keeps me up) Blue or red doesn't matter for me.
  8. Update the skins of the Fok D7 and D7F after the Larner skins came available
  9. Below you'll find the current links to my .dds files NO LONGER VALID The latest versions are found here: NB: I'll update the links if necessary.
  10. Having initials clearly visible is a good way to quickly identify each other. A new trend?
  11. The advantages for a BoB scenario are that they have a already lot of planes and ground vehicles ready. Where as with the Pacific we/they need a lot of new planes and ships. But I do would like to fly the US and Japanese planes. But I’m no rush with all the planes I have to master yet in WW I, II, and modern times.
  12. S! Organizers, In the rules for BS is written: Campaign Conduct Tips  Mission status updates will be provided in-flight every five minutes to help direct you towards active missions. Fly > die > move to reserve Teamspeak channel > serve your 20 minute death penalty. If there are no reserves waiting their turn to enter game, THEN you can be a backseat gunner in a two-seater during 20-minute death penalty > fly > die > repeat cycle. During the mission I had to restart because of several issues with the game. I landed at a Lapino. Finished the mission, logged of the server and exited the game. When I tried to come back I had to wait almost 45 minutes to get in again because the server was full (50/50). Probably during that time there were pilots in the Blue team with a death penalty. Because they stayed on the server, I and maybe others couldn't get in. I think the rule above must be rewritten something like this: Campaign Conduct Tips  Mission status updates will be provided in-flight every five minutes to help direct you towards active missions. Fly > die > move to reserve Teamspeak channel and leave the BS Server > serve your 20 minute death penalty. If there are no reserves waiting their turn to enter game, THEN you may stay on the server and you can be a backseat gunner in a two-seater during 20-minute death penalty > fly > die > repeat cycle. This still leaves the problem with persons like my son Carl who only want to act as a gunner. They will eat up a pilot spot of the 25 cap. I have no solution for this. Can we put a hard cap on the number of persons in the Blue and Red In-Mission channel, while raising the server cap to e.g. 40?
  13. It's away from the OP, but looking at the amount of different cartridges in bore/length/load and ad to that a group of hunters/marksmen you can have a long evening about the best cartridge.
  14. I have deep respect how you can calculate with the Imp system. I need for everything smaller than an inch an app or the internet.
  15. @Vonrd , yes these are my final versions. Earlier entries can be deleted. I will look tomorrow into the CL2. I used my RoF skin and updated the layers with dust and such. Added over that an Alpha mask roughly 74. I will try to shift the opacity a bit and see if it gets any better. The lighter color is not yellow but bleached canvas. I was inspired for this skin by the Schlasta 21 5720/17 "Martha&Else" CL2, with a J6 tail. You see the BW photographs are very different interpreted colour wise. The original colours of this plane were black and white stripes with lozenge pattern wings. The old paint layer shines through the new layer. (pictures #1, 4 and 6) I tried to copy that in my skin. Causes of course a less bright effect on the top layer. This is what the people of Wingnut Wings think of it: #1 #2 #3 #4 #5 #6
  16. I had something like "Sehen wir uns in Walhall" but than I needed Gotha wings
  17. Hello, I want to buy the table mount from Monstertech for my Virpil MT50 Joystick. Reasonale behind it is that the Monstertech has a flat top fitting to the table. Therefore I can move the keyboard right to the end of the table. While with the Virpil mount it's another 8 cm/3.15" [*] away. For the joystick I use the VPC desk mount in a centered position with the full VPC Flightstick Extension set clamped to the table. Now at Monstertech they have a Pitch Adapter to improve the ergonomically grip on the joystick. The adapter comes in 3 angles sizes: 6-8-10 degrees. I wonder what angle would be best. Any suggestions, from experience in-game or real life, what size to buy? All 3 was already on my mind . *is it 3.15 or 3 5/32 inch??
  18. No, this is correct. Always debatable where a name comes from originally and what is the correct way of writing. In Dutch we say Walhalla. In English its Valhalla. It comes from the old Norse/Icelandic Valhöll (Val, Wal=Fallen, Höll, Halla= Hall) some say is means Hall of the Fallen others say it's the Mountain of the Fallen. Grímnismál "The Ballad of Grimnir" 8. Glaðsheimr heitir inn fimmti, þar er in gullbjarta Valhöll víð of þrumir; en þar Hroftr kýss hverjan dag vápndauða vera 8. The fifth is Glathsheim, | and gold-bright there Stands Valhall stretching wide; And there does Othin | each day choose The men who have fallen in fight. Hard to translate word by word, in Dutch: "Tot in Walhalla", in English I guess: "Until in Valhalla".
  19. Same with me
  20. Very nice to see how others have their game environment set up. Maybe a threadable item? Come to realise how much of your posts (and therefor lives) I’ve missed. Still very pleased with the mobile version which makes all a lot easier. But also this forum works more pleasant than a lot of others I visit.
  21. Well the hart is of course from JG54 and the 4 is the number from Albin Wolf 3./JG54. Albin is possibly a distant relative of me. He was born not that far from where my family comes from in lower Bavaria. He was 3 years older than my father. That's the story behind my avatar. Although I have much respect for Werner Voss (maybe one of the best WW I pilots?), choosing this colour green for my planes in combination with the green hart is done without thought of Werner Voss/Voß. How about that my RL last name is Wolf?
  22. I corrected the .dds post.
