He's really just going through some of the kinds of things that the greats like Chet Atkins, Jerry Reed and others of that timeframe pioneered in the flat picking and finger picking styles, which leads us to some of the current wizzards like Richard Smith and Tommy Emmanuel.

Here's a good place to start, if you're actually interested in starting to learn that type of playing style.

...and ultimately, you're aiming towards playing stuff like this...

Cheers,

Good stuff. I bookmarked the lesson. Looks like a good place to start.

He's awesome.  Had never heard of him, until I realized that he was connected to UFO and Scorpions.

Yeah, he and his brother Rudolph were original members of Scorpions.  That is where I first heard him play.  His replacement wasn't bad either

Ahhh, the good ol' hair band days.....

Found them:

Both are really good!  I'm to see if I can pick some stuff up by Luc Arbogast.

Funny enough, I recognize Lieder der Freiheit!  But not this version of it.

It's "To France" by Mike Oldfield!

Unfortunately, the uploader hasn't made the videos available in the US.

Geo blocking of videos is the most idiotic thing I have seen since long time.

Who came up with that should be shot right next to the guy who invented region lock of DVD's

You can allways find other videos so why bother locking it?

And I'm glad you found them.

Klai,

Thanks for starting this thread! It's encouraged me to explore the myriad of content available online in this day and age. I'm impressed by the scope of interests noted here by my fellows in JG1! There's not a single "run of the mill... top 40" post in here. Kudos to all posting. Makes me realize what a treasure we have in our little slice of life that's JG1.

Salute!
