Yes, thanks Sandman! What a fine tribute to Icy. That dance of death of the P40s is hilarious!

I've posted in the IL2 forum asking the developer of Chatbox to provide the option to change keybindings in the ini file. As it stands, I don't think it's possible.

I've just tried this out and it works as advertised. Chief advantage is that your view doesn't freeze while your typing in chat. https://forum.il2sturmovik.com/topic/68096-il-2-chatbox-improved-chat-functionality/?tab=comments#comment-1040394

Yeah, she's damn good (and the long hair in negative Gs looks cool)

Girls can't fly?! (Maybe they don't have the interest though. I've often wondered if the "sugar and spice and everything nice" is genetically inherent or induced by social training. I really wish that there were more females involved in our hobby).
-
Friedhof, are you aware that you will be flying both Entente and Central? Note: Blue Team and the Red Team are not affiliated with either in-game side. Rather, the Blue Team and the Red Team will often switch between Central and Entente, allowing everyone to fly all aircraft.

Sopwith Camel left aileron control wire looks correct.

An extremely unusual mea culpa from Jason: Jason_Williams Producer 25533 3976 posts Location:Las Vegas, NV USA Report post Posted 19 minutes ago Guys, Epic fail on our side for not seeing this large bug in the DM you are reporting. Will be fixed. Everyone was distracted by pretty cockpits and Christmas apparently. Will be fixed asap. Jason

Interesting that the colors change between National, Flight, Squadron, etc. Was that historical? Or an adjustment to the template mapping?
-
I won't get into specifics since this is a public forum but I'm sure everyone is aware of the cheat potential of bright colors in skins. We could discuss in a PM or private thread. EDIT: And I am in no way suggesting that 3 PG (or anyone else for that matter) is using the exploit.

I remember when the whole MiGoto mod cheat fiasco came up and Reshade was outlawed on some servers, I wasn't able to get rid of everything (I had also used SweetFX and some other shader thingy as I recall). I did wind up doing a reinstall. That's why I'm now really leery of shader programs. (I also spent way too much time tweaking with the bottom line of deciding that the base graphics are just fine).

WOW! Merry Christmas Bud (Missing snow? )

By Lama Surya Das: May the lamp of love which eternally burns above kindle divine fire in our hearts and fan that innate spark of divinity into flame- illumining all, opening our eyes and consuming our differences, driving the shadows from our faces. As love dawns on the horizon, may our community awaken in the Kingdom of true communion which is at hand always. May we recognize ourselves in each other each in each- fellow pilgrims on this infinite journey- in truth in that light. May we learn to love one another better even than we love ourselves. May joy radiate. Amen. Merry Christmas... all of us.

Awww... is Charlie a breed or a rescue?

Nah... spoke too soon. It's now BUMPY ground. Did some quick tests and didn't try all planes. Tested on Arras map. Entente planes are doable for off field landings. Bristol - a bit wobbly but no real problem (pitch trim helps) and no damage. Spad - same wobbly but no issues or damage. Se5 - easiest of all. (again... pitch trim) absolutely no issues. Central planes... much more problematic. CL2 - numerous attempts all resulted in wingtip damage due to wallow on roll out. Tried power on, off, blasts of power to no avail. Take-off barely possible with wingtips sheared off but what's the point? Pfalz - again, wobbly on rollout but no damage. It would not begin take-off roll unless I wagged the rudder. VERY sluggish to gain speed and all the while wings were waggling... but no damage and I made it off. DVIIF - borked the wingtips every time in numerous attempts. It may be due to my ineptitude but I'm actually pretty good at off field landings and have done it many times in ROF FIF. I'd be interested to hear what others have noted in testing.
