It must be like constantly trying to hold up the full weight of your body on parallel bars. in addition to the weight of that equipment.

What would the 2nd guy / gal do? No guns or bombsight. The only duties would be nav, comms and 2nd set of eyes. Yep, pre-ordered mine. AVGAS smells much better than JP.

I haven't seen it but I normally do some browsing before I do any posting.

In that vein, see my posts toward the bottom of this thread: https://forum.il2sturmovik.com/topic/73011-is-upgrade-from-1080ti-to-rtx3080-worthwhile-for-vr/ If it looks too good to be true... it most likely is.

First one and 3 months later the second of mine died. No physical evidence of why... flexing wires had no change. Oh well... over 5 years old and relatively inexpensive. Another two on order but 1 week out.

Ours is March next year... right? -
Pretty basic at this point but has clickable functions. Has promise.

I've read all of the Patrick O'Brian novels. Took more than a year. I too really like the movie but it didn't come near matching the expanse of the novels. It's but a fraction of Captain Jack Aubrey and his friend, naval physician Dr Stephen Maturin's adventures and relationship.

WOW... I just got a "Conversation Starter" badge!

He does a good job explaining how to set it up. I've modified the one I've been using for years and it's much better now. I was doing it all wrong...

My understanding is that one major advantage to boom over drouge is the much greater pounds per hour transfer rate in boom.

Since there's no tournament going on Saturday, I'll probably be doing DCS during the normal time (11:00 Pacific). I'm working on the Mirage but will gladly fly anything else.

I'm one of them... still trying to figure it out.

For some reason the last part went much quicker... it's done! Took about 1.5 hrs.
-
An hour into it and only about 40% done.

DDR MiG-21s. Interesting to note how smooth the take off rotation and lift off is compared to the DCS "leap off". I also saw several landings with the speed brakes deployed. Something I was told not to do. Oh... great music eh?

This is pretty cool... https://forum.il2sturmovik.com/topic/72067-airfield-reference-tool-yes-again/?tab=comments#comment-1099018

I've read them all and have to say that "Chickenhawk" was my favorite.

If you like historical fiction I can recommend the "Hamfist" series. I've read them all and hope that he comes out with something new. The author, G.E.Nolly is a veteran Air Force pilot and therefore the tech details are correct and the writing is actually pretty good and there is lots of humorous events. George Nolly served as a pilot in the United States Air Force, flying 315 combat missions on two successive tours of duty in Vietnam, winning 3 Distinguished Flying Crosses and 24 Air Medals, flying O-2A and F-4 aircraft. In 1983, George received Tactical Air Command Instructor of the Year Award for his service as an instructor in the Air Force Forward Air Controller course. https://www.amazon.com/s?i=digital-text&rh=p_27%3AG.+E.+Nolly&s=relevancerank&text=G.+E.+Nolly&ref=dp_byline_sr_ebooks_1
