Hope y'all don't mind if I toss in a few of my fav's... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sjSuMixiBX4 This ones dated,(I had the album back in the early 80's), but I still listen to it often. First memories of music were Bluegrass, then got into southern rock before finding I liked the "Edginess" of punk in high school. I guess my fondness of psycho-billy was the sum of those parts.

Yikes! um... Lets not get crazy now. Take Danudets advice and use the goat.... Yes, definitely a goat... or sheep or something. Great stuff Barton, I look forward to these as well. I think you'll make it eventually, just hope it's not at my expense!

very cool indeed!

About the third choice.... Where exactly do we send the donations?

He was also a bit of a loner, and some considered him to be an oddball. He slept in a shack behind the hangers rather that with his mates, where he would play his violin all hours of the night. He was slow to take to the SE5, and only accepted it grudgingly when it became obvious that he could not keep up with his squad mates in his beloved N17.

'Nother great vid Barton. Hard luck having it end that way, but I have no doubt you'll get there. S!

S! Dont know what to say.I'm sure it was the correct field, 2 seater base is nowhere near the south field. We took 3 originally, that should have left 3 at the field. We did land 3 DVII's clean, but it showed only 2 at the field after we landed. I know someone could have taken the 3 in reserve while we were flying, but if we landed 3, there should be at least 3 returned. I checked the north field during the session. I took an alby, landed and it was returned. I know that just over an hour into the mission, DR1's were all we had left at either field, so there was some heavy attrition. Next week, when dead is dead, there shouldn't be as much confusion.

Glad you all decided to join up... Good times!

Drop the package/rescue captured pilot
J5_Gamecock replied to J2_Trupobaw's topic in FIF General Discussion
Just home from Christmas visit with Mother Hen... Great stuff here! I have a few questions about the "rescue" mission tho. Am I correct in the fact that the prison will always be near an airfield, and that location will be told to our side at mission start? Also, once captured prisoner is "on board", will enemy be notified of escape? If yes, then also the location of escape?(I think I understood you to say NO to this, but just to verify) I like having the new missions.Very much looking forward to our next outing. -
S! Reds.... Was a great Campaign, as Wellington would say... "A near run thing". This is the first win for Blue since XXIIb in Oct. of last year. Happy for that, but more importantly glad to have such a competitive contest. Made for some really great fights and good fun. S!

Thanks Luft, That picture was taken when I was much younger tho....not quite as handsome anymore. Great shots Baron! Well fought campaign by all! S!

Excellent idea!

I like the submarine idea a lot. Only issue I have is that being out on the open water, it would be very easy to spot and cap. Is it possible for the sub to be "triggered" so that it only spawns in when the spy plane gets within a set range, or at the very least, can it be submerged, and will only surface when spy plane approaches? Many good ideas here to keep FIF fresh. I like the additional mission count going to 14. Could we perhaps come up with more? Keep developing and adding new missions, but keep the mission count at 12 or 14. That is say one week you have the spy mission as one of your missions, but the following week it is the "capture enemy plane", and the next a "Strategic recon" or something like that. I would assume that means more work for you, Butzzell,(not that I mind ) ,but I was just curious if it was possible. I don't believe it's doable, but If there was a way to randomize which missions need to be done from a list of possibles on any given week , THAT would be awesome.

I could fly also... should have asked my team about it today but forgot.

I like the idea, but I agree that it shouldn't be used after successful theft.. A question tho... You say "any" friendly plane can trigger it. So if our spy plane or arty spotter were to trigger it, would the AI plane attack them? Not sure I'd want to chance losing one of those few "specialized" aircraft. *edit* Also... Say Blue is trying to steal the plane from Red. At what point will the red team know which field the target aircraft is being taken from? I assume it would be once the 2 seater lands there?

Excellent Vid!

Very nice indeed! S!

I agree Luftritter, if XXV keeps up with this kind of intensity it will be one for the books. I told my team that this was first time in many months that we had more pilots in the air than objectives to complete towards the end of the mission. It was a very exciting start to what I hope will be one of the best FiF's I've ever been in. S! to the Reds as well. I'm told there were some very tough fights, and the score shows what a tight mission this was. Well done all around. S!

Apologies on behalf of J5. We will get things sorted out as soon as we can. As Klaiber said, watch for a announcement on the ROF boards.
