Vonrd Posted September 10, 2020 Report Posted September 10, 2020 I woke up to eerie orange skies and it just barely got light enough to read a newspaper outside around noon. This is the view by Lake Merrit close to my house. The word that kept popping in my mind... "Armageddon"... which in my usual twisted way of association made me think of this classic urban legend... which lifted my spirits.... "ARMAGEDDON!" tT Gus 1 Quote

Klaiber Posted September 16, 2020 Author Report Posted September 16, 2020 Been listening to The Who Sell Out today at work. One of my favorite albums of theirs. And one of my favorite tracks off that album: Stuka and Firefly 2 Quote
Firefly Posted September 16, 2020 Report Posted September 16, 2020 One of the greatest rock bands ever. My favourite album is Quadrophenia, though Sell Out is great too. Speaking of all-time greats, here's another one: I watched the similarly-titled documentary the other week, it's exceptional. I've always been an INXS fan, but now that fondness has grown into a full-time obsession. Klaiber 1 Quote

Butzzell Posted October 7, 2020 Report Posted October 7, 2020 A simple song with a simple beat. The video is almost hypnotic. Cry Klaiber 1 Quote

Gus Posted October 17, 2020 Report Posted October 17, 2020 Kind of hypnotic music I like to listen from French groups, like ´Air´ or ´M83´. Here´s a song of M83 of their Album "Hurry up, we´re dreaming". The album ( a double CD album ) was disappointing to me, as it is very experimental and only 2 or 3 songs on it I like. But this one song "Wait" never gets old. Also the Video for "Wait" comes in a very artful style with references arranged to a very own narration. The groups name "M83" is a reference to the nearest discovered galaxy to the milky way. <iframe width="1093" height="640" src=" " frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe> Klaiber 1 Quote

TedsOnMeds Posted October 18, 2020 Report Posted October 18, 2020 One of the tightest Rhythm sections and most stacked woodwinds sections you're ever going to hear in a big band ever. Phil Collins big band is still around even these days but unfortunately a lot of the great old Cats like George Duke are dead or dying/can't play anymore. Klaiber, Razwald and Vonrd 2 1 Quote
Vonrd Posted October 21, 2020 Report Posted October 21, 2020 I'm a sucker for a pretty lady with a powerful voice doing a cover of a song from my youth. Klaiber and Firefly 2 Quote
Razwald Posted October 21, 2020 Report Posted October 21, 2020 A guy I work with and I were just talking about that song today. We talked about the Crossroads Festival 2010 version. Winwood got brought up due to the fact that Spencer Davis passed away yesterday. So here is a different song from the same concert. Vonrd and Klaiber 2 Quote
Gus Posted October 22, 2020 Report Posted October 22, 2020 Listened to this one the other day on the radio and it made me feelgood. It´s an italian cover version of a 80´s song of a german new wave band called "Trio" : Klaiber and Stuka 2 Quote

Britchot Posted November 23, 2020 Report Posted November 23, 2020 Had this musician friend me on Twitter to provide royalty free background music for streaming on Twitch. Listened to his stuff last night while playing Star Citizen. I completely enjoyed it. Klaiber, Gus and Karl Spackler 3 Quote
Klaiber Posted November 23, 2020 Author Report Posted November 23, 2020 His stuff is pretty good. Great background music for space. I kind of like Last Train. It's the type of trip-hop you listen to when you're trying to pay off a fine for a crime you didn't commit, and then ironically get murdered by space security, in front of your friend, who then accidently offs himself in the middle of a space-mall. Not that I've had any experience with that or anything. Britchot and Karl Spackler 1 1 Quote
