  1. Happy New Year. Here's to Peace on Earth (but full on War in the virtual world ... Smite the Indianers!).
  2. If you can link me the skins I would be happy to convert them for y'all (lighten and color correct).
  3. Even though it's a later plane it's in no way any better than the 2 seaters in ROF... it can just barely climb with a full bomb and 1/2 fuel load.

    FC skins updated

Try this link: https://www.dropbox.com/s/cogl2m6tvvbo6ly/skins.zip?dl=0 As Luft alludes to, his will probably have a further update. I just wanted to get these out for today's FC fun fly.
  5. FC skins updated. Added new skins for Luft, Lip and Snag. https://www.dropbox.com/home/FC%20Skins%20as%20of%20Dec%202018 Allow overwrite.

    FC Skins

Do y'all think I should do separate WWII and FC downloads? It's not much more work. As FC gets more planes the file size is going to get pretty bloated.

    FC Skins

PD3 skins have been darkened and color corrected. Updated at the same link: https://www.dropbox....gkMdan8Woa?dl=0 I'm not going to update the full Monty link until I do some more WWII work. Probably after the new year.

    FC Skins

No, I'll update the full Monty link. I'll take a look at the PD3s. I've only been checking them in the Skinviewer and it doesn't always render them correctly.

    FC Skins

Sorry Schafer, I didn't realize that your skin wasn't in the zip file for FC skins. It's been updated. Here's the link: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/a8k11dp6figfl57/AAChR9g5k2OID4LgkMdan8Woa?dl=0 What do you want for Pfaltz DIII? I was going to wait until they release a template for it but I can just use the old ROF template as well. Anyone else need FC skins? I cleared space in my message box. Didn't know it was full.
  12. That makes it during FIF... I'm afraid I'll miss it. I assume that you will record it?
  13. Looking forward to it! What time are you going to be online?
  14. I have a 1080Ti and run ROF totally maxed out with no issues. I haven't loaded the latest Nvidia driver as yet though.
  15. I want to be a boss I want to be a big boss I want to boss the world around I want to be the biggest boss…
  16. Here's an update reflecting promotions: https://www.dropbox.com/s/r1p3x9bu64pcip2/Update%2012-9%20-18.zip?dl=0 If you have JG1 skins installed, allow overwrites. The full skins download has also been updated to reflect changes and is still the same link as noted in the Consolidated Download Links topic. But just for s@#ts and grins... here it is: https://www.dropbox.com/s/ofez2bbbotb1ode/skins.zip?dl=0

  18. Here's what I'm using for anti-fog on my Rift. Simple aquarium pump... about $15 from Walmart. I didn't have any Zip-ties so just used twist ties to attach the neoprene tube to the feed wire. It's pretty low pressure and CFM but it's enough to eliminate the fogging problem that I had. I would like a bit more pressure and CFM... maybe an airbrush compressor? But this is really quiet and does the job. I can't feel the tube where it goes between the foam cushion. Crude... but it's eliminated the fogging frustration (guess I'm a sweathog ). https://www.dropbox.com/sh/7srihh84u5elb7u/AACIcSqa-TmT_8k3yBENUoBpa?dl=0
  19. I hope... (no... I'm sure that)... I'm not the only one:

  23. Yeah, I have the same things happen with acft maintenance. Recently had a Lear 60 pitch trim actuator due for overhaul (pitch trim actuator... hmm... remember the Alaska Airlines crash in the 90s due to poor maintenance on a pitch trim actuator, I do... made me especially leery). Received the replacement unit and installed it but the rigging holes didn't line up. The maint manual says "adjust the rod-end" but doesn't say how and this thing has limit switches attached to to rod-end. If you adjust it, it just goes to where the limit switches stop it and doesn't change anything. I've replaced several and never had to do any adjustments. Called Bombardier tech support and they say "you shouldn't have to do any adjustments"... (even though the manual clearly says to do so if needed). Ordered another actuator overnight... same shit. Tech says we need to check the incidence of the Stabilizer but that needs a special tool to do so. Rented it and the incidences check ok. Tech contacts the mechanics on the factory floor and they give us the procedure to adjust the actuator, WHICH SHOULD HAVE BEEN IN THE FRIGGIN MANUAL TO BEGIN WITH! Everything checks OK now. The kicker is that this was the second time the actuator was due to be replaced. The last Bozo just threw it in and didn't worry about the rig holes lining up, so the plane has been flying for 2 years with this. In all normal operations this really has no affect. Only if you would need FULL nose down trim would it matter (and this would be most unlikely... but...). Bottom line... by me sticking by my findings... doing my due diligence and doing it right, we got hit with a multi thousand dollar re-stocking fee for the second actuator that I ordered because tech led me to believe that the first one was faulty. We're fighting it but past experience has not been good. They have us by the short hairs. All that being said (and this isn't the first similar incidence) I'm not changing the way I work. It HAS to be right!
  24. OMG!.. Kudos on sussing this out! I would have had a brain hemorrhage!
