  6. Been a while for me as well but it's ALWAYS a good idea to back up your input file which has your controls / responses... "C:\Program Files (x86)\Rise of Flight\data\input". If you have space... back up the whole shebang... that's what I do with an external drive. Win 10 has been screwing with my Joystick assignments lately and I'm glad I backed up this file. Also, It's a good idea to occasionally delete this file: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Rise of Flight\data\Multiplayer\Dogfight" Especially if you're having Disco problems. This file can get HUGE. Deleting it has no affect except that the initial load of a server, for example New Wings, will take just a bit longer. All subsequent log-ins will be shorter. I try to do it monthly, but I have been delinquent and it was up to 80 Meg. The only detriment is if you want to load one of the maps that you have flown... all maps are recorded in this file. You can always save them in a folder of your choosing and use them in the Mission Editor or fly in single player as long as you save the files.
  7. Looks like once again I have to work late and might not make it.

Hopefully he's still taking mail call wherever he is. RIP Gunny
  9. I like it! Thanks Geezer. Too bad about the Vulch problem... It would be good to have as many players as possible IMHO... maybe still keep it open as long as there is an alternate airfield available to avoid the Vulchers?... that way we could see if the framerate / stuttering problem is related to player numbers as opposed to amount of AI / ground entities in the mission?
  10. That's my getup for motorcycle cold weather garb (missing the skull face-shield)

Hmm... I just downloaded Historical pack 1 and double clicked and it installed fine. Maybe delete the current file and re-download? They sometimes get corrupted. Just thought of this... do you have Steam version? I know nothing about steam version. Maybe they have to come from Steam?

Have you tried downloading from this link? https://riseofflight.com/forum/topic/45373-new-useful-materials-page-official-links/ I think the official 777 download site is borked.
  16. As we always say in training, the Thatch weave is kind of a last ditch tactic and only works through one or two cycles. This is a perfect example, and it worked as advertised. WELL DONE! You both spread out causing the bandit to choose one to attack (Shade). You both turned into each other (classic Thatch) allowing Hotlead to get the shot (stellar shooting 'Lead). If 'Lead hadn't hit him as hard as he did, the Spad could have simply boomed up and repeated. also, after that first weave, the wingman was in on 'Lead. Luckily he did little to no damage. What happened to the wingman? Why the Cavalry let y'all go, I'm a ta loss to explain. They had you dead to rights. I doubt that a weave would have been successful against 2 or more Spads. Nevertheless... Excellent coordination... a classic. Also, very good use of cloud cover.
  17. Good find:
  18. Yeah, that's not gonna fit in the back office. Gonna have to build an addition. Actually, the ONLY time I've experienced vertigo (and I have several hundred hours in hard aerobatics) was in a dome sim for the Beech Premier. It was just too "ultra" real visually and the hydraulic movements just didn't seem to match correctly. Had to ask the operator to kill the hydros. After that had no probs.
