I disdained country in my youth until I lived in the backwoods of north Georgia and North Carolina. Bluegrass then became one of my favorites and then I branched out into all of the stuff and fell in love with it. Still... 60s, 70s and 80s R&R remains my default go to. I agree that the music of your formative years is what directs your taste but that doesn't mean that you are stuck with it. I try to listen to EVERYTHING. Opera still evades me as well as anything Autotune but I find myself captivated with stuff that I've disdained previously. I'm now drawn to Hip Hop as well as Disco (I would have shot anyone who said that in the 80s). Have you seen the Ken Burns "Country Music" series? I thought it was exceptional (but he does seem to have a hard-on for Johnny Cash).

This makes me wish I was a teen in the 90s. It's kinda how we felt in the late 60s. I suspect it's a universal feeling / concept for teens of any time period.

Yeah, not much into football but my Dad was a Nittany Lion. I guess I'd go with my alma matter the Buckeyes.

What would the 2nd guy / gal do? No guns or bombsight. The only duties would be nav, comms and 2nd set of eyes. Yep, pre-ordered mine. AVGAS smells much better than JP.

First one and 3 months later the second of mine died. No physical evidence of why... flexing wires had no change. Oh well... over 5 years old and relatively inexpensive. Another two on order but 1 week out.

I've read all of the Patrick O'Brian novels. Took more than a year. I too really like the movie but it didn't come near matching the expanse of the novels. It's but a fraction of Captain Jack Aubrey and his friend, naval physician Dr Stephen Maturin's adventures and relationship.

My understanding is that one major advantage to boom over drouge is the much greater pounds per hour transfer rate in boom.

Since there's no tournament going on Saturday, I'll probably be doing DCS during the normal time (11:00 Pacific). I'm working on the Mirage but will gladly fly anything else.
