  3. Here is the second half of the Aces Flying High article: https://acesflyinghigh.wordpress.com/2015/11/17/combat-jets-of-the-east-german-air-force-1970-to-1987-the-modernization/
  4. The first and second generation MiG-21s of the LSK, throughout the 1960s into the early 1970s, were finished in gray. This is the Fishbed-C (first generation) to the Fishbed-D / Fishbed-E / FIshbed-F / Fishbed-G (second and third generations). In 1972, they started getting camouflaged aircraft with the Fishbed-J (MiG-21MF). 7. Thanks @Ludwig, this is great information.
  8. Hi @WWBiker_, sorry to hear about the server issues. We've definitely been through those before, losing a ton of information in 2010. Glad to hear that everything is back up and running!
  9. @Lipfert - regarding standoffs, is this what you mean? https://www.reddit.com/r/Monitors/comments/ytovpm/can_anyone_help_me_this_monitor_wont_fit_the/
  10. I really think that this is the key issue. And it plays into the long discussions we've had about how important it is to have a solid backend to your sim. The IL-2 mission editor is very hard to learn. And that hampers would-be events or servers. Complex builds with variety are challenging in IL-2. Whereas, with DCS, the mission editor is flexible, allowing for easy lua scripting and enhancement. Additionally, the DCS mission editor keeps getting updated with more features added and with GUI enhancements that make things more and more simple.
  11. @Lipfert, thanks so much! This is great information. I'll pass this along and let you know if there are any more questions.
  12. A sensational title, but an interesting video. I'd be curious what people think:
  13. I have a friend who is thinking about buying a curved monitor. They want to wall mount it and have questions that I can't answer. Here is their message to me, as well as a picture of their VESA mount. Let me know your thoughts. And thanks in advance!
