Sorry Schafer, I didn't realize that your skin wasn't in the zip file for FC skins. It's been updated. Here's the link:

Hey Vonrd, the Jasta 4 spiral didn't work on my PD III.  Not sure if you can use the existing J4 skin in FC and just add my graphics or not.  Also I would like the all black tail on these as well, basically just use the last spiral before it hits the tail, and if you could center the Runes just ahead of the arch in the top wing, along with the blue ailerons.  That would be awesome.  If you have to wait for the template, thats cool too.

I'll take a look at the PD3s. I've only been checking them in the Skinviewer and it doesn't always render them correctly.

Do y'all think I should do separate WWII and FC downloads? It's not much more work. As FC gets more planes the file size is going to get pretty bloated.

Did a 4 k skin for PD3 .    Same name as 2 k skin.It will just overwrite when extracted to PD3 skin file.

FWIW I've done all my skins in 2k to reduce file bloat (resized the template to 2k from 4k). I really don't see much (*any*) difference in game. Only in close-up screenshots (which we never see in game). Currently my skins file, which has only JG1 skins is 8.5 gig.

S!  Agree totally.  Have replaced above download with the 2 k version.   This is a different paint job than the old RoF. Made some correction and took advantage of the layers.

 

The IL2 Templates are a bit different than the RoF ones in that they have many more layers. Easy to transfer basic paints over to IL2 but they really need a look on the new templates just to be sure.

 

Basically, if you like your paint, you can keep your paint.

Also, wondering if the 4K skins are harder to draw, and would possibly cause people with less expensive GPU's to get degraded frame rates as compared to the 2K skins?

Interesting. I have noticed my frames have gone from like 140 to 60-70 since all these skins have come out. I currently have 103rd at 4k and I believe 4k of jg1 dr1. I dont have any pfalz pr camel skins downloaded at all. I'll start paying attention for a difference between AI only servers and ones with skins added.
