You may likely see some slow downs on the server this afternoon and this evening. I am currently running some time and resource intensive processes on the server. We are currently 2.5 hours into it. I am hoping that it will abate shortly.

Klaiber, just to add a little detail to the problems I'm having I think I managed to register on your JG1 Oesau Forum about a year ago and that membership is active and I can see the "new topic" button here under "all things considered" I registered last week on the JG1 Richthofen site, but there I can log in but don't seem to have the ability to post since the "new topic" button doesn't show Thanks for your help, just thought I would let you know

To work around the problem that some people are having when viewing / posting to topics, I have removed the ability to use Avatars on www.jg1.org until this is sorted out further. If anyone decides to test these boundaries I cannot guarantee that the system will work properly until it's fixed.

There will be a web site upgrade this weekend to take care of some bugs and add some administrative functionality. Most notably to users, internet explorer users shouldn't have to toggle the compatibility button on and off depending on what they are doing (fingers crossed). It should only take a few hours to upgrade but I want to make sure everyone is prepared. Before the upgrade, be sure and save a copy of the link to the forums here. This will help you get to the forums if the upgrade fouls the menu, as it did last during the last upgrade. Get all the teamspeak information you need before this weekend as the site may be down at the most inconvenient tim…

You know what I hate about most forums? The idea that a person can only post something if it's new, or they can't post something until they've extensively used the search feature. Also, I really hate it when mods say something like, please use this thread over here to post requests/comments/suggestions/etc concerning subject AAA.
