JG1 is now comprised as three sites. The original two with a parent site acting as a landing site for both/all sub-sites www.jg1.org is the top level, parent site. www.jg1.org/richthofen/ is the WWI site www.jg1.org/oesau/ is the WWII site while they all appear to be virtual directories of the same site, they are independent sites. Each site, while shares the same security pool, we must register on each to gain access to them. If a user registers with the same details for user name and password, it will recognize that you are the same person from a security aspect and it will allow you to navigate from site to site without loginning in each time. So, to …

Bought this book in a used book store in San Francisco this weekend.. http://www.amazon.com/Sky-Battle-1914-1918-Story-Aviation/dp/B0006C4V6Q/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1369611712&sr=8-1&keywords=sky+battle+1914-1918 300 pages of the history and evolution of combat aviation from the Wright Brothers to the end of WW1 The Appendix had a complete listing of all the Aces in WW1 with the actual kill count sorted by country. With Memorial Day around the corner, the sheer numbers spread over 15 pages was pretty sobering. Thought I would share a bit of the data and test everyones trivia knowledge....no searching the internet for lists! Lets see who can get the…

S! Very good time on test. Entente did 7 missions- very good!! Central did 4 missions- 3 killed by groundfire / flak about normal. We had 1 colision- about normal. No lag noticed. very good German pilots were asked if the map was to big. They responded, no, it was about right and that we did not have a full set of players. Entente thoughts on map size? Only snag was 32 player limit. - if that was the only snag, then it looks like we are good to go !! Suggestion, just change number of players to 50 and we should be good for whoever shows up for whichever team. Gentlemen, start your engines !

Hey gents, a few of us WW's are starting to fly regularly on Wed night on Squadron 42's Teamspeak and Server. The Old Fokkers are a sister squad with the WW's that have flow with us for a number of years. Sitting Duck is flying Wed night too, but his preference is to fly German. He looked pretty lonely all by himself on a channel while we flew Entente as a group. Any chance you guys can get him hooked up on TS so he can fly with the German side on Wed nights? I have his home email and PM, if you are willing to share your TS with me I will get it to him. Seems like I might need it anyway if we are heading into Butzell's Tournament in a few weeks Let me k…

That was an awesome tourney guys. Well conceived and very balanced. I think we had an advantage finding targets on that last one. I would not have wanted to find and hit those tanks. You guys have some very talented pilots and I am sure I speak for the whole 42 Squad when I say I am looking forward to the next match-up. S! -Hawg

S! All, glad to be back. Here are my latest uploads. Really really really rare combat footage from Beaufighters here. So rare I'm going to venture to say that there is a good chance most if not all of you probably haven't seen it. That plane really lays out some lead. This doc is more about combat footage and interviews/stories with the Australian pilots who fought against the Japanese when they decided to try and take Australia. Probably one of the best if not the best documentary on my channel. Absolutely amazing stories some of these pilots tell. Makes the dogfight series seem like childs play. And this doc doesn't even have CGI lol. A lot of historical facts n…

I don't know if this has been posted before, but it is a great watch. About the first 2 minutes or so is all in Japanese and unfortunately there is not an english version. After you see it though, who needs to read anything anyway?? It's some of the best CG video I have ever seen! Hope you guys enjoy. 3 Parts Sith

Look at the quality of these fine RC planes! Did you see what they did with the Hakenkreuz? I think that should have been the default on these flight sims. At least then you can have some sort of image without modding.
