S! You will want the windows files on the SSD so that it boots faster. It will be dramatic. I have a 500 gig ssd. All my system and files only come to 300 gig. Game loading times go much faster. Many people still use terabyte hard drives to store non critical files like music and movies.

S! All We had some people on both teams that had their system lock up when they tried to spawn in. Gen_Markof noticed an out of buffer memory error. This type of error can be caused by an world objects script error. The question is, how many people have their Knights of the Sea mods folder still active? I am not sure if that is the problem but it is a good place to start. Many of the objects in that mods pack have been added to the stock game. Whether that creates a conflict or not, I am not sure. Best to check JSGME and move the Knights of the Sea mod pack to the inactive side.

Not sure. You would have to check your motherboard but there is a sale at new egg on a few things. The i7 7700k Kaby lake runs at 4.2 Ghz Getting the speed up on the cpu might help not just RoF but everything else. It puts out a bit of heat. You might need a big cooler fan or a liquid cooler system. I tend to ask advice and buy parts from local ware house cheepo shop.

S! All Just a reminder, we switch sides for this next session. Blue team will fly Entente and Red team will fly Central. Also, the was some question about altitudes for the Artillery spotting. Altitudes are in a vary narrow range. "To start the objective, a designated "arty" two-seater must pass over a friendly gun position or gunship. The two-seater must be within 500m horizontal and between 750m and 1250m in altitude. The arty two-seater then proceeds to the target as ordered, and passes within 1500m to observe the target. While he is spotting, the field guns will fire at the target for 2 minutes. When told to make another pass, the arty two-seater must first report back to the field guns by flying over them within the initial parameters. The pattern is repeated until the target is dead."

S! All Those of you that played MP many years ago and were wounded, may have received a letter from one of these young women in the title. J30 von Hammer still gets letters from Isabel. He has been flying Entente. Unfortunately Isabel is on the other side of the lines. So how does he get letters? Well, Isabel travels with her brother Henri, a poor disfigured youth. Henri's appearance is disturbing. Not being accepted by most folks, he hides under bridges. That is how J30 von Hammer receives his letters. He flies under the bridge and Henri gives him the letter. The letter is actually tied around a stone that Henri throws in the cockpit as the plane passes. ( 88% chance of going in cockpit, 12% chance von Hammer is hit in the head). So, we officially have Trolls in game. The mission was suggested by J30 von Hammer. Heavens to Blue Max imitation. The mission is called "The Letter". As game starts, a subtitle lists what bridge the letter is at. It will be one of the four bridges already in use. A designated scout plane named Isabel must fly under the bridge. You get a subtitle on left side of screen saying you have letter - RTB. When you land at a friendly, active airfield you get a complete message. At present this is set up for entente only on FiF practice server. Options: If the Letter bridge is also the "Active" bridge, the letter must be done before the bridge is destroyed. Make a Central version of "The Letter" and the plane's name is Mary. Get rid of Bridge targets as bomber missions and just use the 'Letter"mission for scout pilots. S! FiF 2017 Spring phase A session 1 We had 2 glitches. The German Strategic secondary did not pop up. My error in mission builder. Has been fixed. Second glitch I do not know what was wrong. Central bombed German Factory 4. Picture is down below. I tested factory with Roland and did 7 bombs. Killed factory and got message with 1 less building destroyed than in picture. I talked with Phil. He had the targets written down. Factory 2 was the strategic recon and Factory 4 was the bomber target. I do not know why it did not give message or come up in scores. Very disturbing. I think Blue team deserves the point. Factory kill message did come up in final scores and Blue team was credited with mission. Posted bellow is investigation into individual buildings. Factory looks dead. In game photo of battle damage. test picture. Notice only 4 buildings down. Only 5 bombs I started testing the individual buildings. 1 bomb at a time and oops something was strange. You will see in picture bellow a building with a 3 bomb text and arrow. What that means is, if you want to kill it you need to drop 3 bombs at the same time. Yes!!! Bomb damage is not really cumulative. I dropped 7 bombs on it 1 per pass before it finally went down. I dropped 2 at once and it stayed up. With a fresh target it goes down when 3 bombs all hit at the same time. It looks like each building has it's own damage limit and contributes a percentage to the overall total. To kill a building you have to do a certain amount of damage in a specific amount of time or it does not register. Very strange. I can drop 5 bombs, kill 4 buildings and the target is dead. Or I can drop 7 bombs, 1 per pass and kill just one building and the target is still alive.

We hear terms like prehistoric. And then people discovered writing and suddenly there was history. These planes are not a part of history, they are a living history. They take on new life demonstrating the manufacturing capabilities of their era and become a continuing inspiration to new generations. I Like seeing the planes "come to life". Seeing planes from WWI and WW II actually fly is an amazing experience. What will people think 100 years from now? 200 years from now? These planes enter a category with few others. And who might the others be? Tall ships and Civil War muskets come to mind.

S! All Dry run is set for Saturday 6, May, 2017 at 2 pm Eastern daylight saving time USA, 1800 UTC. Some planes will be unlimited as there is no death penalty for this session. Because of mission mechanics, most of the special 2 seaters will remain limited. As you can see above, many of our missions have been slightly altered. Please note that the FE2b will be allowed twin guns in the front. The Roland only gets 1 gun in rear turret. NO twin guns for Roland. If you will be a commander or flying 2 seaters, please review the information about this session. We will be paying respects to a fallen hero, Captain Albert Ball, DSO,VC. An aggressive pilot, he was an inspiration to friend and foe alike. He was instrumental in taking the comity born SE5 and turning into the great fighting machine, the SE5a. His favorite tactic was to position himself below an enemy and fire upward. This is why the SE5a had the Foster mounted Lewis gun. His death is still clouded in mystery. It will be a TV series in French and maybe German. A documentary historical piece with live actors and a lot of CGI. It is in post production now. Probably third quarter this year. After "The Mighty Eight" would be nice.
