  1. I just finished setting up the server end, and tried it in my server. Some things that you really need, hot keys for channel changing, and finding a place for the radio overlay (I minimized mine all the way down, and placed it in the canopy rails on a 109 to keep it out of my view). There's 5 channels dedicated to red and blue, 10 channels total. No freqs for obvious reasons (as of yet anyways)

  3. I have been wondering if the walking back of the aircraft rendering code has something to do with possibly finding a problem somewhere that they just have not said anything about. Until the "hotfixes" we all had improved visibility and rendering in vanilla, then after the hotfixes, things went back to the way it was. Or possibly, they tried an experiment with rendering code, to "see what would happen", then walked the code back cause it wasn't actually finished yet????? Maybe it was meant for a beta test, and the code was accidentally left in on the public patch.
  4. Perhaps I should have written this earlier. If youre looking at getting into WWII, and youre limited to one or 2 modules, I would suggest above all Stalingrad. The reason I say this is the aircraft in Stalingrad have crossovers from the earlier Moscow into the Stalingrad. Namely, for our Squadron and tourneys, the 109 F4, Ju-87 (which actually has 1941 -1943 versions available) and the He111 H6. This one module can carry a pilot through the first 2 tourney campaigns, and possibly into a third.

  13. Also if you think a pilot couldn't be caught unawares of blacking out, I can show you a fatal accident video of a very experienced acrobatic pilot that it happened to, doing the same routine he'd done 100s of times before, and had just performed the same routine earlier that morning.
  14. Regarding it being easier to black out after blacking out or the onset, actually does happen in real life. The more you put your body through, the more tired you get, the easier it is for you to black out on subsequent maneuvering, now having said that, something that seems lacking in IL 2 is a pilot's ability to condition himself to it. For acrobatic pilots, they can, on average, pull more sustained Gs than you or I could simply because repeated exposure toughens their body to it. Having some sort of mechanic like that in game wouldn't mean that the pilot starts a sortie barely able to pull 6 sustained Gs, and by the end is pulling 9 sustained Gs, but possibly something within the off-line game, and a way on-line to control it.
  15. I do think the GLOC is abit overdone. I wish there was a g-meter in the instrument stack at the bottom, so we could do some testing. I think the onset of GLOC comes on WAY too fast. If you're in a 109 at cruise and just start an easy pull, maybe 5G, it seems you start blacking out

  17. Oh, test run for 4/14 - Server starts 8:15, Mission begins 8:30. Things to check 1.) RRR times (I want at LEAST 3 minutes - 5 Minutes if the pilot is wounded) - So need rearm/refuel/repair, but also need someone to voluntarily get shot😳🤕 to test wounded repair) (Maybe a 10 minute game enforced wait if a pilot ditches and takes a new plane???????) 2.) Ground War - Need some tank jockeys to slug it out, test AI emplacements (too much, too little???), Capture territory (Note: The moving front it not installed (read above for explanation), and no influence zones (those go into the moving front). 3.) Fallschirm drops - Both locations. 4.) Bombing missions - test new triggers, and eval flak. 5.) Cargo drops at airfields, tank bases
  18. Yeah, statics of the the new vehicles, drivable early war vehicles/tanks (T-34-41s, PZ IIs, BT-7s, Recon cars), a NON AI cargo plane for the Allied team, and the list goes on and on and on and on.
  19. Ok, ran a self-test over the weekend and developed a list of non-working or flawed items. I have all but one fixed (I hope). While repairing another item, I found another small item, I had set the tanks for the Fallschirm base at unlimited (oops). I now have the AI ground units set with a different trigger for grnd and air units. Air units will spawn the AI at 6 km, while grnd units will spawn them at 3 km (hopefully it will keep the number of active units down to manageable numbers). Also found several German triggers that were triggering on German units. Airfield and tank base repair vehicles have been changed to Opeltankwagons and GZ-55s. Would have LOVED to put ambulances at the field hospitals but there are no statics of these as of yet 😡 . Also discovered RRR cannot be preset at fractions, then copied and pasted anymore, gotta set them at 0+ then copy/paste, then go back and reset the fractions. The moving front with 4 battlezones is giving me a headache. I have attempted to make this work a dozen times now, maybe I'm overthinking it, but, the last attempt pissed me off, and in a fit of anger, I hit the delete key, not realizing that I had the whole frontal system selected, and deleted the whole thing, there went hours of hair-pulling and work. I would like to attempt a test run for tomorrow, 4/14.
