Now Kempf got me thinking and reminded me of the Royal Guardsmen, a fairly local band, from Ocala FL. They were formed in the 60s and got famous off sounds about Peanuts (With Schulz approval! ) Well, most of their music afterward was aviation themed. Here's two. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oxzg_iM-T4E https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zlmB2ypAxL4 Cheers, Zerfass

Just watch Fokker DVII

How many of you have heard of the band Iron Mask? They are from Belgium and are always writing songs about history. Kind of like Iced Earth, if you have heard of them. Well in 2010 they made a song called "Shadow of the Red Baron". Very good, to me it's better then Iced Earth's "Red Baron/Blue Max". It is a power metal/neoclassical metal if you are looking for a genre to class them under. So if you think you will enjoy a little double pedal drumming go ahead and give this a view. It's loud so, be sure to lower your speakers a bit! This will probably be my last Rise of Flight video for a very long time, I just can't see to figure anymore ways to spice up a dogfight now. En…

Thought this was an interesting article on the A-2 and jacket art: http://www.collectorsweekly.com/articles/wwii-war-paint-how-bomber-jacket-art-emboldened-our-boys/

Hello Gentlemen, I have been working up short films with multiple games, but most of all RoF. I am always looking for critiques and things to approve upon. All of my videos so far have been from online battles, so skins wont always be on or just be in the wrong theater. I would record against AI, but they only split S until they are on the deck. Not very interesting stuff. So here is my latest creation, dedicated to France's Jean Navarre. The next will probably Ernst Udet or Lothar von Richthofen. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q68_xowPOXs If you guys like that one and wanna see more. Check out my channel "Blue Falcon", and yes the militar…

Extremely interesting interview: Great to just let play and listen. Especially starting around 27 minutes.

Finally got around to uploading some pictures from the May 8, 2015 Arsenal of Democracy Washington DC flyover. Image intensive, so I'll break it into multiple posts. enjoy!

S! all, I had the opportunity to participate in the FiF dry run last Wednesday. First of all, thank you all for such a great time! I had a blast. Anyways, on my college forums, they were having a thread where you could submit short stories. The theme for this month was "something that may or may not have been from your personal experiance". I wrote and submitted this short story about my first flight that Wednesday night. Who knows? Maybe I can get some college kids interested in WW1 aviation. A few notes about the story: The server that night had lots of lag. For the sake of immersion, I simply didn't mention that. Also, in order to include some of our d…

Check out J9 Austin's new Statwhore in the ROF General forum... Gave me a chuckle

For everyone who loves engines so loud, it's deafening. http://foxtrotalpha.jalopnik.com/the-flight-deck-of-an-aircraft-carrier-is-loud-as-hell-1708541482

It's a 3rd person, over the shoulder shooter but I like the setting and teamwork that could develop. Post-apocalypse and PvP is one of my top 3 gaming interests. It was announced that it will be on the PC, by the way.

I found this collection of missions for level bombing practice somewhere (ROF forum Mission building section I think) a while ago and posted a link to it before the JG1 forum shift. It's got all the bombers except the Muromets and has several bombing altitudes. Might be useful for the upcoming Lille tourney as well as FIF if anyone wants to volunteer for the Bomben Korps. https://www.dropbox.com/sh/dhad94kb2kl52fx/AABbiVzOFx6mBPYlDL2lmr-ta?dl=0 Vonrd EDIT: It doesn't have the Fee but you can add planes in the Mission Builder of course.

http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=144344 It's hard to wait, but this is completely understandable. And I approve. Better to have it right. The link also has some great updates regarding DCS WWII, the MiG-29 for Flaming Cliffs 3, the DCS: L-39 Albatros, and the DCS: F/A-18C Hornet.

Saw this today and thought it might be of interest: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p02t7dmz More information about the project here: http://www.globalaviationresource.com/v2/2015/02/09/aviation-feature-apss-sopwith-1-12-strutter-project/ Apparently they're getting close to completion! S! Maus

http://www.fallen.io/ww2/ I thought this was an extremely impressive presentation. The numbers are staggering. And the video really puts all the casualties in perspective. Especially when you see them visually, side-by-side.
