S! JG1, Hello guys. Glad to see everyone is still around! Finally my life has started to slow down a bit to where I have some extra free time to dedicate to the air. I'm quite excited to finally be able to participate with you guys again. I miss the teamwork and comradeship! Can someone please inform me how the practice sessions work and what day they are on for CloD? Thanks in advance guys. I'm looking forward to flying with you guys again!

Anyone else played the classic DoD? I've been working on a brainchild of a concept for a new DoD game based on the Source2 engine.

So, I've for a while wanted to get a wheel and stick shift for driving games (well really rally car games, I really like old rally cars, Lancia Stratos! ) and does anyone know if pedals (brake, accelerator, and clutch) exist but can be used as rudder pedals? If not; I may try to do this myself, summer project for 2016 maybe.

So, I've been playing Command: Modern Air / Naval Operations again recently again and I came across a link to a video (although it's mostly just audio) of a pair of F-14s flying a CAP when they encounter 2 Libyan Mig-23s. It's a pretty interesting listen, and you can really hear the adrenalin of the lead Tomcat pilot as the MiGs close in. The Tomcats changed direction 5 times with the MiGs matching each time before the decision was made to engage. http://theaviationist.com/2015/10/31/impressive-previously-unreleased-footage-shows-how-two-f-14-tomcats-shot-down-two-gaddafis-mig-23s/

Got myself a chance to hitchhike a ride in a SNJ-6, my dad was helping and flew (He used to fly for them back around 2007) in a two ship formation for a fly-by over for a "homes for heroes" type ordeal. Did a low fly-by and a overhead brake. It was pretty cool. Linked an album of the "good" photos I took, and the overhead brake I put on YouTube. I would have to say the Texan is the sweetest flying airplane ever, it is an absolute ball. If anyone has flown one they will understand. http://imgur.com/a/e6lKW Also, in case anyone has heard of the Griffon race plane P-51, called "Precious Metal" the owner and pilot is the person who was flying the other Texan,…

Sadly haven't had a chance to pull my warbird models down from my garage to do anything. But I am in theory gonna get my Fokker flying and I plan on recovering it to look like mine in RoF that Kempf made for me. (Thank you so much!) However these are some old and a fairly new Lego models of some pretty familiar warbirds among ourselves. http://imgur.com/a/fKoqI Still want that new Fokker Dr.I that they never made Think I may try out some old Lego CAD programs and see if I can piece together any Luftwaffe planes to possibly make.. hmmm.

The German air controllers at Frankfurt Airport are renowned as a short-tempered lot. They not only expect one to know one's gate parking location, but how to get there without any assistance from them. So it was with some amusement that we (a Pan Am 747) listened to the following exchange between Frankfurt ground control and a British Airways 747, call sign Speedbird 206. Speedbird 206: " Frankfurt , Speedbird 206! clear of active runway." Ground: "Speedbird 206. Taxi to gate Alpha One-Seven." The BA 747 pulled onto the main taxiway and slowed to a stop. Ground: "Speedbird, do you not know where you are going?" Speedbird 206: "Stand by, Ground, I'm looking up our g…

Good afternoon Gentlemen, JG1/Pottgen here. Probably has been 12-15 years. Hello Klai! I do remember someone. Was considering entering the skies again. Was wondering if IL2 was still the game to go to. If it is, I would greatly appreciate some direction as far as how and what to load. I still have the original discs, but I obviously see many add-ons from those days. Hope to talk to you all soon. S! Potts

Decided to take up another origin to re-do game time for BF4. under the name of JG1_Fuchs. JG1_Fuchs will be my "smurf" so to call it, so if you ever see a steam account with that name one day thats why haha. Here's a photo of the emblem I made based off the Red, white, red, white diamond, and black "Winged" 1. I plan on improving it, definitely if I end up buying Battlefield 4 on my primary account. Already logged to Colonel 1 star in BF3. Got just about everything done, MK3A1 keeps eluding me haha. I'll probably convert this into a few different pallets. Including Brit's A3 logo, expect that sometime in the next week!

Here is the footage of my encounter with 2 N.17s last FiF. I was in a Halberstadt CL.II, returning from a successful bombing mission and the bandits snuck up behind me. NOTE: In the film, I give my location as being over Czim. In actuality it turns out I was over Pnchpckt. :/

I'd like to take a moment to salute Vonrd and any other pilots that gave their virtual lives to win us the tournament last Saturday. Knowing he was low on fuel, Vonrd chose to risk the danger anyway and successfully destroyed the last objective, gaining Red Team a total of 10 points. After doing so, he attempted to glide back home and made it to within a few scant yards of no-man's land, before he was landed and captured. While that experience had to be extremely disappointing, his sacrifice was not in vain. Thanks to him, Red Team achieved a perfect score! Salute, Vonrd, and well done! BTW, don't you guys think we could contact at least 1 of the 7 spies we dropp…

Salute Gentlemen! Some of you may have already noticed, since October 3rd, 2015, my brand new Rise of Flight Game Server is online! It's called "Hardy's No Parachute" and available in Mods-Off Mode in the Multiplayer list. I have planned to run several mission there, each one created on some historical background that you can find here at my blog. The first Mission based on that Idea is Lille Junction - May 1917. You will also find a Statistics Server running at http://stats.no-parachute.one:81 For further details see my blog at http://no-parachute.one and the Server overview page at http://no-parachute.one/index.php/hardys-no-parachute-rise-of-flight-server…
