As much as I generally dislike UbiSoft on general principle, and despite all the delays (I think I've been waiting on this game for three years now) it is outstanding. Can we please designate a TS channel in JG1 games for it?

Random sighting at a Micro Center yesterday:

So Oskar and I have been flying against 4 ai F-16s set to the highest skill level in the Su-27. It's pretty hard, but also pretty and intense and fun. I thought I'd post this Tacview file of a fight we had tonight. It had everything, BVR locks, flat spins, moves like I knew what I was doing, death, a vengeance fueled headlong afterburner dash after a death... good times! The F-16, at least at this skill level of AI, certainly outperforms the Su-27. NOTE: I tried to upload the file directly and was told I didn't have permissions, so here's a link to it... here.

So DCS is great, the clickable cockpit switches really add a lot to immersion. However, desk spacing can present a problem. Currently I have my mouse sitting to the outside of my stick. This is usually not a problem, but sometimes when I need to hit a switch, it means either reaching across with my left hand, or taking my hand of the stick. Not so good. I have limited space on the left side of the desk, and I can't get the hang of left handed mouse control. So, I found this. Seeing as how I can stay reliably connected to RoF lately, would anyone be interested in flying DCS on a regular basis? I have all of the modules available on Steam, but have been focusing on the MiG-21, Ka-50, Su-27 and A-10C lately ( with an eye on the MiG-15 )

There's a second long section at the very beginning of the new trailer for Batman vs. Superman where you see the control stick for the Batplane. I immediately recognized it as a Warthog. I think I have a problem. His slide out way of storing it is awesome though:

So after much sweating and internal anguish trying to decide between an X52 Pro and X55, and a moment of vertigo inducing panic when I realized that I have the cash on hand to afford a TM Warthog (followed quickly by cold fear when I thought of what my wife would do if I were to follow up on that) I think I've decided that I'm going to a CH Fighterstick and CH Pro Throttle. Salute all! My younger brother and I have been working on a short film/documentary concerning WW1 Ace Frank Luke Jr.'s final flight. We actually started on the project way back in 2013, but have had to set it aside at various points along the way due to real life concerns. Curious what headsets you guys have? My old gave me horrible sores behind my earlobes so I had to stop using it about a month ago, but I got a new Sennhesier! My headset now is a Sennhesier Game Zero. $250ish headset, reminds me a lot of Bose aviation headsets in terms of comfortably.

For anyone out there who would like to learn to fly an aircraft in DCS, but is intimidated by reading through the often-times 300-600 page manuals, this guy named Chuck has created some amazing PDF guides filled with pictures that cover the basics you need to know to get up in the air, fly, land and use weapons effectively. I've used them both as a supplement after reading the official manual, and for other aircraft as a prequel, getting me up in the air so that I then know what I need to go back and learn in more depth. Old battlestation is too small, converted wine cellar makes a pretty desk but isn't very functional. Looking at an Ikea Fredde. Does anyone have any suggestions for a new desk and battlestation?
