So seems, we're gonna be getting The North East front (Leningrad) and the Port Odessa map. They said they cant reveal what the new project is yet, but they showed a Corsair and a B-29.

Anyone have any idea what this says? Accorcing to what I've been able to find: "This emblem, the Schwartzkopf heraldic badge alongside the death's hand emblem, was designed to honor an earlier Geschwaderkommodore, Oberst Günther Schwartzkopf, who was killed during the Westfeldzug."

It's been a busy December friends, but at least there are some benefits. After a recent hop over to Heathrow, I had a spare afternoon to head up to the Royal Air Force Museum. I took way too many pictures but here are some highlights:

As a pilot one of the frequent questions I've been asked over the years is if I’ve seen a UFO. Well, I can finally say yes after the other night flying from Phoenix to Baltimore. The lights were in the Eastern sky near Venus. There was at least three of them and they seemed to orbit each other in a circle. Their luminosity would slowly change from barely or not visible to nearly as bright as Venus. They were definitely very high in the sky, so maybe that was because of reflections from sun like a satellite. But these were not normal satellites. Satellites travel in a straight line as they orbit the earth but these were on a tight (maybe 5 degrees angular) orbit. This arti…

Our poor dogs have to put up with Karin's annual Christmas costumes. At least they get treats afterward. Bean is the little black and white, Maggie is the larger brown and white.

Hawg, Driver and I met at the museum here in Dayton to see their newest Su-27 exhibit. Here’s a few pics I took, including many of the planes we fly online. This would make a great JG1 gathering place if we ever wanted to do that. One of the largest air museums in the world plus Dayton is the home of the Wright brothers and there are a couple other museums worth seeing here including their bicycle shop/air museum and Carillon Historical Park

Those have gotta be some major coinage. I wouldn't have the guts to raise the collective. And a Hip Scale helicopters look more realistic in the air than most fixed wing scale planes since they can fly at a slower speed.

Early in my career I knew pilots who did this and it was fascinating how they could catch the pictures taken from satellites on re-entry. This is how they got the pictures for the Cuban missile crisis. Back in the day when we only had wired telephones pay phone booths!

I met Harald Bauer at one of the monthly events at Planes of Fame in 2012. As a 17 year old teenager Harald flew the He-162 as a factory pilot from the factory to the front lines during the war. Of the 65 factory pilots that started with Harald only 5 which included himself survived the war. Harald flew black op reconnaissance missions for the US Navy during the Korean war. Wheels

We were flying with a pilot Bubblegum on the WW server and he may be intrested in flying on ACME. As he's not on Discord, I proposed to look at the forums, hence this post. @Kliegmann can you help him should he drop by? @Bubblegum: leave a message here so for comms.

Thought I'd start a thread for DCS 2.9 rather than having scattered posts hiding in other threads. Jabbers has a good video about DLSS. Especially good regarding shadows:
