April 23, 20206 yr comment_58661 @Jaus, well there is Good Better and Best. I'm sorry. The Jasta 10 Albatros as we have painted it, has the horz and vert stabilizer painted in black and the rudder and elevator in yellow. Would you be so kind to make that change? Looking forward to Best! Report

April 23, 20206 yr comment_58676 Uh-oh. Here comes that damned annoying SPAD pilot again to throw his unwanted opinions around... The black stabiliser / yellow elevator and rudder was never a historical Jasta 10 marking. Report

It can be a bit sucky how hard stuff is to see in FC sometimes - any markings past about 400m for the 3rd PG are virtually unrecognisable - except for the big U.S roundels of course! Report
April 24, 20206 yr comment_58689 S! All The original project was a skin file that started at time zero, All skins in use at that time were included. The goal was that new skins would be updates to that folder. Original big- follow on small. Within that overall goal was the idea future skins would be along the line of historical skins. Within that parameter some basic JG1 schemes were made. We are using those parameters for future skins, People doing skins will be guided into these schemes and given freedom for some personal variation. NO ONE wants to go back and redo skins. We also do not want people constantly tweaking their skins. When approved, new skins will be put into a pack and posted as an update. So, If you like your skin, you can keep your skin. promise. Mainly trying to work from some plane descriptions that are coming from these WW1 historic elements (it's still fictional)! - Tried to find out what Billy Bishop (Great Canadian Ace of WW1!) was flying - Tried to use the red for the front of the plane (nose), to refer to JG1 - Jasta 11 colors - Tried to use my WW1 insignia (skull head) - Used the camo for the top wings - and more... Dolphin and Bristol 2BF2 will follow since they are in the first (Phase A) planes set of the event! ------------------------------- Cheers, GenMarkof @GenMarkof007, I've moved this to the discussions area since they're still works in progress, and there is no link for download. I hope you don't mind. It looks good so far! Nice job. Looking forward to seeing the final products. Report

First, is the AlbD5 skin in this 7/9/2020 upload different in anyway from your AlbD5 skin that is already within the paint pack? Secondly, the name of the skins are going to be modified to fit the following standard: v_!_JG1_[aircraft folder]_[pilot name].dds v_! JG1 AlbatrosD5 Jaus .dds will now be v_!_JG1_AlbatrosD5_Jaus .dds v_! JG1 Fokkerd7 Jaus.dds will now be v_!_JG1_FokkerD7_Jaus.dds v_!_JG1_FokkerD7F_Jaus.dds is fine. v_! JG1 Pfalz_D3a Jaus.dds will now be v_!_JG1_PfalzD3a _Jaus.dds Make sure to be prepared for that when the update to the official pack is released. Finally, the black crosses on the Pfalz are really washed out. The fuselage looks good, but the wings and the tail crosses need to be darkened. Could you re-submit that one? Thanks! Report
July 10, 20206 yr comment_61183 I've corrected the names and improved the Pfalz crosses in the submission thread. The Albatros in the zip is probably the same as the one you have. I didn't think you had retained that one as it was submitted during hardlook. Report

July 13, 20206 yr comment_61307 Hi Guys, For all JG1 skinners, especially those who have made there own paint schemes for Flying Circus, please be aware of the new color standards: https://forum.jg1.org/topic/8103-flying-circus-colors-standards/ These were created to do three things: Standardize colors within the squadron so that we look uniform (regardless of skin author) Attempt to come close to historical colors used on real aircraft Look good with in-game lighting. A color correction update to the skin pack is incoming soon. There are some cool changes in it, so @Vonrd, @Heinrich and I can't wait to share it with you! If you've made your own FC skins (@AngryGoat, @Butzzell, @GenMarkof007, @EmerlistDavjack, @Jaus, etc.), please consider adjusting their colors to match the above guide. Your personal markings are 100% approved and don't need to change! We just want to see the colors match. Post below with any questions. And thanks in advance! Report
