Salute gentlemen! Just an announcement that we will be featuring a few of Syndicate Squadron's old "Dawn to Dusk" mission maps during the week in hopes of drumming up some numbers on some weeknights and sharing some of these great maps with the community for all to enjoy. They are very similar in format to what we are all used to in Wargrounds, with a few minor differences. They tend to be a bit smaller than the Vintage Mission maps, with airfields a little closer to the front. I think they are worth checking out just for something different. Salute gentlemen! This week's Sunday Vintage Mission will see us in the La Vesle River region of France, NW of Reims - Summer 1917. This a bomber offensive map, no recons necessary to activate targets, just full ahead and blow up the strategic targets on the map. Heavy bombers will have to destroy enemy depots to prepare for the upcoming offensive. The more targets they can destroy, the better they will be prepared for the following battle. Some shots in the image gallery of Nieuport 11 and Pup replicas being taken to Vimy for the centenary commemorations this weekend. My "Nub Tutorial" for Rise of Flight has far and away the most views on my channel and the defensive maneuvers video was well received so I was thinking about expanding in this area. What topic or aircraft would you like covered? Granted I know jack about two engine bombers in RoF I'd say anything regarding them is off the table. I'm also considering going back to BoX. Again. For two reasons: it has a big audience (probably the largest of all combat sims at the moment) and if I can point out what isn't right and how it isn't right to help the Devs and the game succeed it would be worth it. Looking through the rules I came across apparently contradictory items about death penalties: Page 11 under "Server settings" Other Settings/Timeouts – • One (1) minute End of Flight • Five (5) minute Re-Flight • Two hour (2) Coalition Change • Fifteen (15) minute pilot Death Penalty with unlimited back-seat lives. If you die or are captured when flying as a pilot, the server will force you to wait 15 (15) minutes before you can fly again as a pilot. I posted this in our forum maybe you guys may want to take a look. IL2 looks like after the Eastern Front they are going to the Pacific. I was thinking Rise of Flight and IL2 have no way to plot a course in game. If IL2 is going to the Pacific how do you plot a course in game. I found a free Auto CAD program and created 1/4 of a compass. I plan on printing this to transparency paper. If it doesn't print well I will just print it on paper and trace it to the transparency. What I did was drew a line every 5* for a total of 90* If you need a different heading you can flip the transparency or rotate it to get 360* Not sure if I'll do more to it or leave it as…

Greetings all and salute! This Sunday's Vintage Mission will see us in the Lens / Arras sector - June 1918. This is roughly the same area of the map that we will be flying in the upcoming Jasta5 Bloody April VII campaign, so it will be a nice orientation map to get us used to the area of operations. VERY IMPORTANT - The photo recons on this map do not work like the ones we are used to. THERE IS NO CAMERA ICON upon spawning in or when you are over the photo target. Ive flown Il21946, RoF, Bos, all in anaglyph 3d (red/blue glass like the 1950's movies) over the years And by the way RoF, and BoS are stunning because of the depth of the textures. CloD, I could never get it to work (has to be injected). Just found a shader that woks for rehade 3.0 and its GUI. Works fantastic and CloD looks pretty darn good! You don't need to be have VR to get the experience, If you want to check it out for any sim, color up some glasses with sharpies (safety glasses are cheap) Il set you up Mox
