Participated in the first really organized mission in RoF, the test mission from FiF. Was quite fun and all, however there was one downside - i had a really hard time both in spotting, and keeping track of aircraft, way harder then in all the WW2 sims, even BoS, which is based on the same engine. Does anyone have any specific tips, how i could tweak my graphics, to make this better/as best as possible? Thanks in advance

~S~ I discovered an issue last evening that I can use any help/advise on. I will preface that I have no problem offline with throttle adjustments in Spits or Hurricanes. When going through engine start and starting to taxi in a 109 I can not get over 1100 RPM. I can taxi real slow but nothing more than that. My engine start proc is fuel cock on prop pitch 100 Magneto 1 Water Rad open Oil Rad open trim and flaps set. Throttle 20% or so and wait until 40C I advance the throttle and the graphics showing it going forward properly but it never develops any RPM past 1100. Going into the ingame config the Throttle shows the proper throw from 0-100…

In the middle of upgrading my pc. New processor, mobo, video card, and moving from a 120gb ssd to a 240gb ssd. Have everything in but the video card. Still installing software. Video card should go in tonight. But for some reason windows isn't recognizing the ssd even though the mobo does in the bios. Should get that figured out tonight as well. Hopefully I will be up and running again before next FIF and I should be able to fly CLoD when this is all said and done.

Been AWOL for a bit because I caught a virus and had to reinstall windows. Decided to reinstall it to my SSD instead of my HDD so it would boot faster and all that. Backed everything up and found I couldn't format my HDD from the windows installed on my SSD and I couldn't do it from the windows installed on my HDD because it was using the information on it. After a bit I got it worked out and managed to format my HDD but for whatever reason when I boot up my computer is still detecting the windows on my HDD (which isn't there). Anyone know how to get rid of this?

Kameraden, I'm noticing twitchy responses from my elevator in Rise of Flight, instead of a slow pull it twitches causing instability. Curves are smooth? Think it might be a USB issue? S!

S! All There are a lot of people interested in mission building for Rise of Flight. It takes a while, and a lot of practice. The manual is old and does not explain many of the new features. The tutorials are very good. Going through them is a great first step. My purpose within this ongoing thread is to show how individual units can fit together to form a mission element. I want to start with a simple "Arty Spot" mission, as it's used in Flanders in Flames. Due to software issues with Windows 10 I lost all my web bookmarks having to go back to a Windows 7 install .... it has been a slow process getting stuff back and working , TeamSpeak for JG1 is being a bear just not happening radio.jg1.org is asking for a invalided server / password .. My "good " luck is running strong , Not only missed Bloody April due to Family issue ... but trying to unwind later in the evening by flying and kill some thing only to find the Throttle control does not work from what I have been able to find on the net it seems like it could be componet issue either worn out or in need of cleaning. will try to get this thing working or replaced ASAP.... joy .. S! Finally I found what happens with my crazy trackIR 4. My new eyeglasses. I have two. One for day by day (multifocal) and other one specially to fly (one focus). TrackIR´s camera is getting the brightness of my eyeglasses. I setted the light filter and IR brightness to the maximum but it still is getting eyeglasses brightness. Well now I know what happens and now go ahead to find a solution. Really, is very frustrating in the middle of combat your vision getting crazy. I lost a lot of combat by that. If you have any idea how getting this solved please let me know. I´ll back version 4 to try fix it.

Hey guys, So, so far I'm pretty happy with my CH setup purcheses, although I am certainly having to relearn muscle memory with the linear throttle, and then using the pedals. One of the issues that I'm having though is that I use the ministick to slew my targetting pods and the like on aircraft like the A-10C, Ka-50 and Su-27. If I flick the down or to the left, it re-centers just fine. However, if I flick it up or to the right, it doesn't re-center all the way, so it ends up with the reticule travelling constantly in that direction until I recenter it manually. Well after going on SoW to find some 88s, and a C7/late(!) which I gave to Mox because of my problems. Went into SP and same thing occured, but if I did it w/o teamspeak on which I had done before it was perfectly fine. So I think my problems are because of Teamspeak. I think I may try to setup my father's old netbook as a teamspeak machine but I don't think I can get PTT on it, so problems there. I may try to get a USB button for PTT though.

Hey Fellas S!, Well I made a post on Toms hardware but I would like more input on the matter. Ever sense I upgraded my SSD (Cloned). I have noticed my internet dropping out more. I think this is just a coincidence though. My internet doesn't drop all the way out, just low enough that programs will disconnect. I even watched my modem which my PC is directly connected to and I see no change of the green lights. Also my PC never shows that it's disconnected from the network, maybe do to how fast the network reconnects. Either way this is killing my ability to play game like Rise of Flight. I've already purchased a brand new x52 joystick. the only part I'm sure of getting is a new video card. Kameraden, It was Nvidia Shadowplay, once disabled TrackIR worked again. Worked on it till 2:30am last evening as it was driving me insane, all my games were broken and had been working fine. Big shoutout to Mike at Natural Point support for helping me out. S!

Hi, Frustration at an all time high here. I try and link an image and it locks up on the little blue input box. Will not accept url, will not cancel , will not close. Have to kill the browser to stop it. Try to put in a link, same thing. Input box wants not only the url but an e mail address, topic, message body, anchors etc. Same thing , it locks up and I have to kill the web browser to get out of it. None of the cancel buttons or x buttons work. Why can't things be simple? Why can't things work?
