My SSD is a bit on the skinny side when it comes to storage capacity. 225GB isn't a whole lot in these days. Any suggestions? Is cloning a drive easy?

I'm thinking about upgrading my monitor or gpu. Currently I have a 10yr old 22" monitor and a GTX 970 gpu. For the purpose of spotting aircraft at a distance in FC, what do you think is the most important to upgrade?

While on my recent Elite Dangerous exploration, my Oculus Rift right earphone lost audio. By fiddling with the right slip joint on the headset, I could get it working again, but only intermittently. When exploring, I’m always lifting the headset so I can see to make notes. I figure with all the extra movement of I wore or frayed a cable in the slip joint. This seems to be a common problem with the rift as I was able to find a relatively easy fix on the web. It appears the earphone loses ground when the cable frays, so using a length of fine telephone wire to connect the botton pins (ground?) on the left and right earphone restores functionality. So I took the plunge and ordered the HP Reverb VR. Should be here by end of the week. Anyone else using the Reverb and any tips for getting it up and running? Labroisse

I posted this in the IL-2 forum yesterday, but have revceived no response. I obviously have an active account and have for a number of years. I ensured my password was up to date and I entered the same in the game. It will not let me link the accounts no matter what I do. This forces me to fly around with random names instead of proudly wearing my tags! It keeps giving me a wrong email and password error.

Guys, I'm kicking around the idea of replacing my 3 - 27 inch monitors with a single 43 inch UHD TV. 1. Don't use the 3 monitors for flying any longer now that I have VR. 2. I have a "spare" 43 inch UHD TV still in the box. No senator I don't know how it fell out of the back of the truck. 😁 So does any one have experience using a TV as a monitor. From what I have researched, possible delay in mouse responsive, and graphic issues when doing documents seems to be the main draw back. Can anyone confirm issues if they are doing this, should it NOT be done, should it BE done? Thanks for the feedback!!

Kameraden, In getting setup again for flying, long sad story as my MFG Crosswinds are wider than the Next Level Rig is wide..... So I picked up some interim pedals, that are really narrow Thrustmaster T. Flight Rudder Pedals. They setup no problem, all good. I'm four versions behind on the 3dmigoto and need to tweak, so decided to hookup my TrackIR 5 just to get online. Everything runs fine, until I get in game and when I unpause the TrackIR it locks up il2 Sturmovik. Has anyone ever had this sort of issue before, seems really odd to me. It used to work just fine. Have any of you noticed this? I was working on skins for these planes, and when getting the final pics in-game, I noticed this: 3-D object in skin file and on plane, seen in the game's viewer program: Plane as seen in the game....object missing! This is true for both the CL.II and the CL.IIau. Skin doesn't matter; even the default skins have this lack of the object which is clearly visible in the skin template as a separate 3D object in the cowl area, where the engine would be. I don't know what they did to the game but I have so many stutters and planes are almost impossible to see. Even at the most restrictive performance settings I'm barely getting a smooth game. I haven't had much time to fly lately but this is destroying my will to.

😭 I can't find the JF17 in DCS. In the module manager the JF17 doesn't show, the same for the control setting page, Quick Mission, Training etc. On the DCS site in my profile I can see that I have the module completed. Any tip before I start an Support adventure?

I've tried everything I can think of on the software or computer side. It really seems like a failure on the hardware side. From everything I can see, my grip appears to be DOA. Since my hardware comes from a long way off....the resolution would have to take weeks if not months. Sigh. One thing that might be beneficial is if anybody can tell a method that ensures that a driver is deleted, along with the hardware. I feel that it is possible that the old (possibly corrupted) driver is not being renewed. Hello All, I don't know if anyone has seen this little trick for gamma settings. If it's still to "bright" after turning down the gamma in the graphics settings in-game. Go to the config file itself IE startup.cfg in the data file of the game. Find the line gamma and enter your setting. There is one draw back to is is that should you go to your settings in game it will reset the gamma setting. Last Tuesday, Virpil has started a vote competition for control panels (jet, spaceship, piston engine aircraft and helicopter). Nice entries, although I had hopes that in the Piston category their would be panels for 2-4 engines. Why 5 or 10 buttons/switches on a panel? I have this problem: when I use, for example, the slider to control the radiator it goes in the last quarter from 50% to 0 without anything in between. In the VPC-Joy-setup is shows that the dial, slider and z-axis are at 74%-ish when centered. I have found no way to re-calibrate them in order that at the center of those axis's (right at the bump) the value is 50%. Any MT50 user with a solution?

Hello, I want to buy the table mount from Monstertech for my Virpil MT50 Joystick. Reasonale behind it is that the Monstertech has a flat top fitting to the table. Therefore I can move the keyboard right to the end of the table. While with the Virpil mount it's another 8 cm/3.15" [*] away. For the joystick I use the VPC desk mount in a centered position with the full VPC Flightstick Extension set clamped to the table. Now at Monstertech they have a Pitch Adapter to improve the ergonomically grip on the joystick. The adapter comes in 3 angles sizes: 6-8-10 degrees. I wonder what angle would be best. Those concerned, I've recently had a chance to rebuild a TM Warthog HOTAS. Leaving all other problems aside, this particular issue you may encounter in the future, if you haven't already. With regard to the single push buttons, they are prone to intermittent operation if not complete failure. This is due to the tactile microswitch inside the button assembly wearing out due to excessive pressure or number of uses. Salute Jagdgeschwader 1, I'm Finally done with my house renovations, wedding, and honeymoon. so I'm Looking to get back in the air with you guys! The only thing holding me back from doing so is my teamspeak. It Must've Done an update a little while back and now im having issues with my press-to-play. I've always had it hotkeyed to my thrustmaster HOTAS but now it's not recognizing. it works if I hotkey it to the keyboard or the mouse and it also works with the Voice Activation and the Continuous modes. Normally i'd Say Screw it and Just use it with the keyboard... but with VR it requires to much effort to find the moue OR keyboard while flying. I've tried unplugging …
