So Im head turning(IE TiR'ing) through the ship

Re-build your Dot net. frame work. This solves a lot this sort of problem Another good place to start. Mox

~S~ Von Doing a little research...your proc is a cranker but slow for what were doing. Over clocking intels is a breeze....and yours will push to 4 gig (a $50 liquid cooler will do it and with a stable power supply) Ram is a balance between cpu, 6 gig...your mother board is a 1366, probably, triple channel ram set up (more bits cranking through than dual channel/good thing but expensive) Question is how many ram sockets are on your board and I think your on ddr 3...8 gig of ram is kind of a minimum, but will Handel just about anything in our flight sims. if you have 6 ram slots, 3 more "matched" stix would be good.....bringing you up to 12Gigs...OK ram is all about speed! your mother is probably on default timings. reducing your timings through the bios, especially latency by clock 1 cycle, makes a "huge" difference! That you can see, just in the feel of the mouse. OCing ram is nothing! It ether works or it doesn't, and its not a heat thing like the cpu. and most quality stix have Over clock timings built in, that the bios pics up just turn on the setting. How much ram do you have on the vid card? Cliffs Ive pushed 3.7 gigs on my 3 screens, Rof doesn't even tickle my 4 gig card. (dx 9) BoS I haven't checked yet with DX11, but I did up all the ground textures to 8k today and it was fine for a single flight (hate the ground radius of blur) Here's the thing about ram... vid or mother board. If you run out...it goes to the hard drive(depending a chace settings), if you fill the ram (lots of gigs) and the cpu cant process it fast enough. The system is only as fast as the cpu. Balance Before, you decide, I recommend run some diagnostics and tests. 6 gig "is" low, 2.8 is too slow! and i believe the 1366, was discontinued 2012 Hope this helps Mox

~S~ Just some notes on 3d...I personally love it! (for entertainment) With VR being out, is part of why I'm broaching the subject. When we fly we sit in a chair, with some sort of TiR, VR in nothing more than an expanded TiR with 3d....so you don't have to sit in a chair! (ironically my intro VR headset (for phone), Most free vr experience apps, have a 1 to 1, 360* roll/pitch/yaw ratio, so to look behide yourself, you have yaw/pitch/roll 1 to 1....not easy laying in the lazeboy) Partly why 3d tvs never worked out...your eyes have to be in the horizontal plane (3d is nothing more that 2 images, 1 for each eye. Ever so slightly offset) We see, and hear the world in 3d, 2 eyes, 2 ears, offset. But we don't look outside and go "kool today Im in 3d!" Especially for flying/gaming and the VR stuff Ive seen....The virtual "Reality' is way beyond reality...its too depthy, therefore its... "Hey its in 3d today" it become an effect. Luckily the 3, 3d programs I have are all adjustable way down to "reality", including the one for Reshade, I just found. Its good . Flying in 3d...Set it up right! And it puts you into another a whole nother plane of immersion. It really does! Add a fan or 2 "and feel the breezes." Also you wont have a tunnel vision set of goggles on, So you can see your controls. It a big point about VR! (running into the coffee table, that's real! lol but not in your VR eyesight/ headset.) Have the 3d too depthy, and into effect, the world is swimming...Headaches, and eyestrain. But its a great way, to check out VR for flying for less than 2 bucks! PS the ReShade shader also has a version, that does "side by side" 3d. This is the system used in VR headsets! Mox Red and Blue Sharpie, color up some lens, drop in the shader into Reshade 3.0, and Be the man above! This image below is way out of range to be reality...it will cause eyestrain...But is good for a test lol

~S~ They have to be the type, that one lens is redish, the other blueish. "Movies" have a bunch of systems...including polarization.... that system is more modern (lens are kinda grey) it wont work on anaglyph. Below is what works for anaglyph.

Ive flown Il21946, RoF, Bos, all in anaglyph 3d (red/blue glass like the 1950's movies) over the years And by the way RoF, and BoS are stunning because of the depth of the textures. CloD, I could never get it to work (has to be injected). Just found a shader that woks for rehade 3.0 and its GUI. Works fantastic and CloD looks pretty darn good! You don't need to be have VR to get the experience, If you want to check it out for any sim, color up some glasses with sharpies (safety glasses are cheap) Il set you up Mox

~S~ Drucker If this is a fresh install, I would say you have a corrupt file in the 109's. But 1st...before reinstalling, you could try somethings. Clear your cache folder C:\Users\user\Documents\1C SoftClub\il-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover - MOD\cache...... delete everything inside Rebuild your net frame work Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Programs and Features "Microsoft .net framework ###" click it and repair. (Whenever the game seems to be screwing up, do these 2 steps. Straightens out what was a good game) Play a quick mission for a few seconds, before multiplayer. Clears a lot of Clod weirdness. OK if we cant figure this one out...then its reinstall last resort. A simple way to do this. Rename your ,,,\Documents\1C SoftClub\il-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover - MOD,,,folder (All your config files, skins, missions are in this folder) Then just do the installs in order...about 15 min. In documents il2,,,you will have 3 game folders. stock, mod, and your "renamed" What I would try is rename the new mod folder, and un rename your old folder ...and try it. This will probably fix it, because if it is a corrupt file, those files are in the Steam folder. #:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\IL-2 Sturmovik Cliffs of Dover Hope this gets you going Mox

~S~ Hess If reflection is coming off of your glasses. Floppy disk makes a good filter! So does "exposed" film. Tape it over the lens on the camera. Mox

~S~ I bought these on a whim cause they were cheap, and I like multi speakers in a headset for flying. Although "our" flight sims will support kinda of a multi speaker surround sound (their not authored that way, and neather is "surround sound" correct for sim's)...These things push a most realistic cockpit tone, feel, position, and low resonance. "I was absolutely amazed" The sub woofer vibration setting, lets you "feel" the aircraft, gear/stresses/impacts/engine etc. Their "clean", up to deafening volume. Frequency response is outstanding (I pull easily 20 to 30Hz out of these things! War/engines/bombs its all low frequency) Gui has good features, and lets you move the speakers around ( get those 110 engines/sounds where their suppose ta be) Encoder is pretty good, usb plug n play, don't have blow your head off to get these things to perform. But they can. For 'our' flight sim's, I love the tone, and open feel. They produce a tonality like Van Halen's first album. But I'm deaf anyway lol Good luck Mox http://www.rosewill.com/rosewill-rhts-8206-usb-connector-5-1-channel-vibrating-gaming-headset-1.html#product_tabs_Specifications

Barton Aren't turbo's are on the exhaust side? Wouldn't that require "plumbing" instead of "short stacks" with lots of heat? A thought Mox
