Kameraden, I flew il-2 last night for the first time in a while. It looked and performed terribly in VR. Obviously, things have changed because it was looking pretty good. I'll start off with the Iceman VR videos and make some adjustments. S!

I have a really bad feeling my Warthog throttle quadrant is fried. My entire rig is plugged in using a surge protector, so it should be fine. However we just had a power outage, when I booted up my system a while after it came back on the throttle has no signs of life. Target GUI doesn't register it at all. Win 10 settings under devices shows it still, but just says "driver error". I've tried reinstalling the drivers, but to no success. It doesn't seem to be powered up either none of the LED's are working. I'm really worried it's been fried and is just a paper weight. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated as I can't afford to replace this right …

So after replacing some cheap hvac circuit boards, twice, and seeing the price go astronomical I am retrofitting my Heat Pump/AC and Air handler with a micro plc, AB 820, a 3 phase blower motor, and a VFD. Now I have a basic idea of how the system operates, I can write a program using a PID block to control my fan speed, etc. As far as I know, the compressor starts and runs when heating and cooling is called for. I am not sure if there is a pressure switch for the fluid to control that on/off and pressure cut out safety switches to protect the compressor etc. If any1 has knowledge of HVAC operation, and you have time to do a short write up …

When they´ve found out about this setting here: BETTER 3d in VR ( greater depth ) I had applied it and the 3-D effect in VR was immediately improved, much more defined with better depth perception. Recently I´ve update the Nvidia driver and after a few VR session, I had the feeling, that the image looked better before the driver update. It was like a bit washed out or blurry. Then remembered that setting in the Nvidia inspector, which was rejected after the driver updated, so applied again, as in the video below and 3-D became perfectly defined as before. Does any one have a trick using obs to record DCS in VR where the recording doesn't turn out narrowed? Example: Don't work about the resolution, just an example

I just installed this and had an astounding improvement in FPS. In 2D DCS an easy 80 - 90 FPS (Before was about 40 - 50). In VR, with NO changes to my 2D settings, I now have an easy average of 35 FPS even when flying in high stress areas. I'm however getting lots of "CPU Bound" notifications. I'll try turning my game settings down. (Does anyone know which settings might be best to turn down?). Is there a trick to getting this to work? I have mapped an axis on my throttle quadrant to manual prop pitch for 'all engines' and 'engine 1'. For other aircraft it seems to be working, but for the FW, which need to be set to manual pitch mode, I can make the switch to manual mode but the axis is not recognized for setting the pitch amount.

Looking at what DCS uses. Computer at rest Load DCS then idle DCS Quick Mission Free Flight JG1 Server in flight Enigma server Exit DCS I knew the GPU was working hard. The CPU didn't have too much load in Quick Mission or JG1 server but it's surprising that Enigma's had even less CPU usage. But Enigma nearly maxed out Memory usage. Not sure what it all means or what I can do about it except look forward to getting a new PC at some point.

IL2 Great Battles doesn't recognize any buttons or Axis on the Orion / F16. DCS works perfectly. I've been searching through pretty much everything. I've set it in SimAppPro to 4x32... no joy. I've deleted the "devices.txt" in IL2 / data/ input and restarted both game and PC. The stick is plugged directly into the motherboard. This shit shouldn't be this hard. Any help? @Ludwig is yours working for IL2?

I’m updating my flight simulator computer and will be giving it a dedicated VR headset. I have an Oculus Rift on my other workstation so the Rift is my first choice. But I was wondering what other headset people are using that might offer advantages over the Rift? Only requirements are it runs Flying Circus and EliteDangerous.

Recently some (not all) of my emails are showing what looks like html (but won't translate when I use an html converter). This is the default Windows mail app and yahoo mail account. Any ideas as to a fix?

Kameraden, When I jumped in on Friday night, I remembered I had not completed my Warthog profile for the MiG-19P. My question is the pit has two throttles, but the game has only one Axis for both? Is this a mistake? S!

Just picked up an i7-12700k on sale at Best Buy yesterday. Decided that it was now or never to pull the trigger on the big upgrade! This is in preparation for VR later this year. Had to get a new motherboard to fit the new CPU, and needed to jump up to 32GB of RAM. After some heat issues in my current build I am going for an All-in-one liquid cooler from Corsair, and with how big DCS is getting I picked up a new M.2 drive solely for DCS. I think this set up will get me DCS VR ready! It'll probably be a while before I grab the headset, but I am going to enjoy the improved performance until then!
